𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐂𝐇 : England vs Oman𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 : Jun 14, 2024𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 : 00:30 IST / 5:00 GMT𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐔𝐄 : Sir Vivian Richards Stadium – Antigua, Antigua And Barbuda 𝐓𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 :  T20 World Cup 2024 England vs Oman Betting Tips Jos Buttler hit 42 runs from 28 balls at the top of the order against Australia and the captain is our tip for England’s highest run scorer against Oman. Jofra Archer was the pick of England’s bowlers in the defeat against Australia and he is a strong choice for England’s top wicket taker in this game.Pratik Athavale hit an entertaining 54 runs from 40 balls against Scotland at this venue last weekend and the keeper-batter is well worth backing s Oman’s highest run scorer against England. Bilal Khan is a very consistent international bowler and we expect the left-arm pacer to be Oman’s top wicket taker in this clash. After hitting five fours and two sixes against Australia, we recommend selecting Jos Buttler to hit the most boundaries in this fixture. England vs Oman TV channels: The fans can watch the match live on Hotstar Live Streaming: Live streaming of the match will be available on the FAFA191 Cricket Exchange India and website. England vs Oman Match Prediction & Betting Tips, T20 World Cup 2024 Match 28 of the 2024 T20 World Cup sees England, the 2022 T20 World Cup champions, take on Oman in North Sound, Antigua. England have had one no-result and one defeat whereas Oman have lost a Super Over before being beaten by Australia and Scotland. Read on as we preview this game which gets underway at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium at 15:00 local time on Thursday 13th June. Although England have completed only one match which they lost against Australia, they also bowled unconvincingly against Scotland in their opening game before it finished as a no-result. They have not been at their best but Oman should provide them with an opportunity to get up and running in the tournament. Oman began the tournament running Namibia very close in their opening game but they have struggled to be competitive since with defeats against Australia and Scotland. We expect England to be far too strong for them with bat and ball. England vs Oman Match Toss PredictionIt is now five consecutive games at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium which have been won by the team fielding first. Therefore we predict that both sides will want to field first and chase in this game. England vs Oman Pitch ReportThis is a good batting wicket in Antigua which offers some turn but also good carry. The top pace bowlers will take the pitch out of the equation and nail their yorkers or produce strong slower balls to be successful here at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. A par score will be over 180 in the first innings. Antigua Weather ReportIt will be warm and humid throughout this game on the island of Antigua. Expect high humidity levels throughout and there could be the odd interruption due to rain. How a spirited USA gave India a run for their money before succumbing to first T20 World Cup defeat | Cricket News

NEW DELHI: On expected lines, the USA cricket team lost to powerhouse India at the T20 World Cup.It was their first defeat in the tournament. And the final score — India winning by 7 wickets — suggests that it was a one-sided affair. But it was not the case. The newcomers showed superb grit and determination and gave India a run for their money before succumbing to their first-ever defeat at the cricketing extravaganza. Aided by a tricky surface at the Nassau Stadium in New York, the USA team gave their all and won hearts despite the defeat. In chase of a below-par 111, India took 18.2 overs to cross the finish line and secure a spot in the Super 8s. With nothing to lose, USA came out in all attack mode, defending 110 and tasted early success. The third ball of the game saw left-arm Saurabh Netravalkar getting rid of star India batter Virat Kohli for his first ever golden duck in the T20 World Cups.Stunning a sea of blue at the stadium, Netravalkar got Kohli to edge a delivery outside off to give India an early blow. The left-arm pacer then struck again, first-ball of his second over, this time sending back India skipper Rohit Sharma for 3.Stunned early in the chase, India found themselves reeling at 10 for 2 in the third over.Last-match hero Rishabh Pant and Suryakumar Yadav then tried to steady the chase as the US bowlers kept the Indians under pressure with some superb bowling. When it looked like India were back on course in chase, Pakistan-born pacer Ali Khan got rid of Pant for 18, once again putting pressure back on the chasing team. With runs hard to come by on a bowling friendly surface, Suryakumar and Shivam Dube struggled really hard in the middle. After the fall of Pant in the 8th over, India only managed a sole boundary till the final ball of the 14th over. And in between that, Suryakumar also got a huge lifeline when he was dropped in the 13th over by Netravalkar at short third. At the end of the 14th over in 111 chase, India were struggling at 67 for 3 as USA bowlers bowled their hearts out.The 15th over finally saw India batters breaking the shackles with Shivam Dube whacking Corey Anderson to release the building pressure. From there one India did not look back and both the set batters Surya and Dube looked at ease.USA getting docked 5 penalty runs as they went past 60 seconds-mark to start a new over 3 times in the innings — new rule — also didn’t help their cause as India were now back in control. With a flurry of boundaries, Surya and Dube wrapped up the chase in the 19th over.

Why USA were handed five-run penalty during crucial T20 World Cup 2024 game against India? – India TV

Image Source : AP Corey Anderson and Shivam Dube during the IND vs USA T20 World Cup 2024 game in New York The United States suffered a morale blow in the crucial stage of the T20 World Cup 2024 game against India in New York on Wednesday, June 12. The officials handed the USA a five-run penalty when they were defending 35 runs in 30 balls at Nassau County International Stadium. On-field umpire Paul Reiffel signalled for the five-run penalty after a talk with the USA’s stand-in skipper Aaron Jones. Umpires pointed out that the USA took more than a minute between overs on three different occasions which caused them to bring a stop clock rule. According to the rule, the team gets five runs deducted from their total after taking a more than minute between overs for three times in an innings. “As per stop clock rule, the fielding side is expected to start a new over within 60 seconds of the completion of the previous over,” the ICC rulebook states. “An electronic clock, counting down from 60 to zero, will be displayed on the ground, with the onus on the third umpire to determine the start of the clock. “The failure of the fielding side to be ready to bowl the first ball of their next over within the stipulated 60 seconds of the previous over being completed attracts two warnings. Subsequent breaches would lead to a five-run penalty per incident.”  Meanwhile, a five-run penalty totally ruined the USA’s chances to take the game to the wire. Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube finished the tough chase with seven wickets and ten balls remaining as India stormed into the Super 8 round with three successive wins. India playing XI: Rohit Sharma (c), Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dube, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Mohammed Siraj. USA playing XI: Steven Taylor, Shayan Jahangir, Andries Gous (wk), Aaron Jones (c), Nitish Kumar, Corey Anderson, Harmeet Singh, Shadley van Schalkwyk, Jasdeep Singh, Saurabh Netravalkar, Ali Khan.
