"Chakkay Kyun Kha Rae Aap?": Female Fan's Bizarre Remark On Pakistan Star's Form Is Viral

“Chakkay Kyun Kha Rae Aap?”: Female Fan’s Bizarre Remark On Pakistan Star’s Form Is Viral

Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan’s form has been a point of concern for the team heading into the T20 World Cup in the Americas. In his last two T20I outings, Shadab has leaked 109 runs at an economy rate of over 12, while also remaining wicketless. Before their opening game of the tournament against USA on June 6, Pakistan only have one official game left to play as the first and third T20Is of their four-match series against England were washed out. On Tuesday, Shadab had an awkward interaction with a female fan in Cardiff. In a viral video, the fan questioned Shadab regarding his recent form. In the video, the female fan urged Shadab that he needs to take wickets and stop leaking runs.  “Aap chakkay kyun kha rahe hain? Form mein wapis aayein. Wicketein leni hai aapne (Why are you conceding sixes? Get your form back. You need to pick wickets),” a female fan can be seen asking Shadab in a viral video. “ap chakay kyun kha rahe hain form mein wapis ayein wicktein leni hain ap ne” so real pic.twitter.com/5DmS5kfXx3 — noor (@pctobssessed) May 28, 2024 Meanwhile, Pakistan’s World Cup preparations were again dented by bad weather as the third international in Cardiff on Tuesday was abandoned without a ball being bowled. The woeful scenes in the Welsh capital followed another complete washout in the first of this four-match T20 series at Headingley. England remain 1-0 up with one to play at The Oval on Thursday after a 23-run win in at Edgbaston but this latest abandonment came just a week before they begin their T20 World Cup title defence against Scotland in Barbados on June 4.  Rain in Cardiff on Tuesday started to fall steadily an hour before the scheduled 11:30 PM (IST) start, with a capacity 15,600 crowd expected at Sophia Gardens.  But the bad weather delayed the toss, with the pitch and square at Sophia Gardens remaining fully covered. And minutes after a 1:10 AM (IST) inspection, the umpires abandoned the match due to a saturated outfield and persistent rain. The teams will now travel to London for Thursday’s finale at The Oval in the hope of one last chance for competitive action ahead of the T20 World Cup.  Pakistan, the 2009 T20 World Cup winners, start this year’s tournament against co-hosts the United States in Dallas on June 6. Shah Rukh Khan "Won't Be Successful...": Gautam Gambhir's Intriguing Revelation After KKR Heroics In IPL

Shah Rukh Khan “Won’t Be Successful…”: Gautam Gambhir’s Intriguing Revelation After KKR Heroics In IPL

Gautam Gambhir with Sunil Narine, Shah Rukh Khan and the IPL 2024 trophy.© Twitter Gautam Gambhir is now the cynosure of Kolkata Knight Riders after the IPL 2024 win. There is every reason for him to get all the adulation. He transformed a team that had been waiting for an IPL title for a decade into a champion side. Since joining KKR as a mentor. Gambhir had one mission. That mission – to take KKR to third IPL win – is successful. The joy of the entire KKR team knew no bounds after the IPL 2024 triumph on Sunday. Even KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan, who has been a constant presence in his team’s IPL 2024 matches, was happy.  Shah Rukh even said in his dressing room speech that he now intends to se Gautam Gambhir on the dance floor, an offer which was declined by the latter. Gambhir, in a recent interview was asked, after his dance prospect after KKR win. His reply was intersting.  “Aap galat aadmi se pooch rahe hai. Na mein dance kar sakta hu, na mein ga sakta hu. Lekin ha doosro ko dance karte hue dekh zaroos sakta hu and usko enjoy kar sakta hu. Wo maine zaroos kia. Shah Rukh bhai apne zindagi mein bahut successful rahe hai, aur bahut successful rahenge bhi. Lekin ek jagah jaha pe woh unsuccessful hai ki woh mujhe dance nahi kara paye. Mujhe lagta hai aage aane wale time mein bhi successful hone. Pas iss jagah pe woh successful nahi ho paenge kiuki main dance aur gaana ga hi nahi sakta (You are asking this to the wrong person. Neither can I dance, nor can I sing. Yes, I love to watch others dance and enjoy. Shah Rukh bhai has been very successful in his life and he will continue to be successful. But I think he won’t be successful in this aspect as I can’t dance or sing),” Gautam Gambhir said on Sportskeeda. Several reports have claimed that Gambhir is one of the front-runner for the post but in a recent interview, after he mentored KKR to IPL 2024 title, he indicated something unique. He was asked about KKR now being a ‘trophy-winning dressing room’.  “Today you are saying this because we have won our third trophy. But if you ask me, we are still two trophies away from MI and CSK. Today I am content, but again that hunger (is there) that you are still not the most successful team in the IPL, for that to happen you need to win the IPL three more times,  which will require a lot of hard work. So I think, the next mission is that, if we can make KKR the most successful team in the IPL. There won’t be any bigger feeling for me. But the journey abhi shuru hui hai (the journey has just started),” Gautam Gambhir said on Sportskeeda. The official deadline for application submission for the post of Indian cricket team coach selection is over. Monday was the last date to submit the google sheets to be the next India coach. ICC Breaks Silence Over Terror Threat To India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup Game

ICC Breaks Silence Over Terror Threat To India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup Game

Ahead of the high-octane India versus Pakistan clash in the ICC T20 World Cup on June 9, security cover will be raised at New York’s Eisenhower Park stadium following reports of threats to the match, reported ESPNCricinfo. As per a statement by the governor’s office, the situation is being monitored and according to their intel “there is no credible public safety threat at this time.” Eisenhower Park Stadium, located 25 miles east of Manhattan, is the host of eight ICC T20 WC matches from June 3 to 12, including the battle between two Asian arch-rivals. The governor of New York, Kathy Hochul, said that she is working with the law enforcement authorities to make sure these games go on smoothly. “I have also directed the New York State Police to engage in elevated security measures, including an increased law enforcement presence, advanced surveillance, and thorough screening processes,” she said as quoted by ESPNCricinfo. “Public safety is my top priority and we are committed to ensuring the Cricket World Cup is a safe, enjoyable experience,” she added. ESPNCricinfo has learnt that no corroborative evidence has been found by authorities to back the reported threat. But the International Cricket Council (ICC) has said that security will be “robust” throughout the tournament across all venues. An ICC spokesperson said, “The safety and security of everyone at the event is our number one priority and we have a comprehensive and robust security plan in place. We work closely with authorities in our host countries and continually monitor and evaluate the global landscape to ensure appropriate plans are in place to mitigate any risks identified to our event.” India will be playing four games in the US, including their campaign opener against Ireland (June 5), the match against Pakistan (June 9), against the USA (June 12) and the final group stage game against Canada (in Florida on June 15). The Men in Blue have arrived in New York since Tuesday and have been training, though star India batter Virat Kohli is yet to reach as he has been given a break following a brilliant Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), securing the Orange Cap for most runs with 741 runs in 15 games. Earlier this month, the ICC and Cricket West Indies, the co-hosts of the World Cup along with the US, reassured that every measure possible is being taken to ensure the safety of the fans and the players. ‘I Will Not Lie…’: Virat Kohli Recalls Feelings Before World Cup Debut Match In 2011

Virat Kohli the first and only Indian to score a century on his World Cup debut.© AFP Virat Kohli is the global face of Indian cricket and will be ready to take on the new challenge that the 2024 T20 World Cup will bring with it. As part of the build up to the upcoming competition, Kohli talked about how he felt before making his World Cup debut against Bangladesh in the 2011 World Cup. The star Indian batter certainly made his debut in style as he stitched on a 203-run partnership with Virender Sehwag on his way to becoming the first and only Indian to score a century on his World Cup debut. He scored an unbeaten 100 in 83 deliveries and took Team India’s score to 370 which ultimately led to a 87 run victory. “It was against Bangladesh in Dhaka, my first game and I was nervous. Yes, I will not lie. There is a different sense of excitement in the air when you come for a World Cup and I could obviously sense that. I was the youngest member of that team and I was getting to play with all these greats of Indian cricket in a World Cup game. “For me it was definitely a moment where I was a bit nervous heading into the game and definitely the night before I was quite nervous but that is a good sign as well because your body is preparing you to enter a situation where you’re alert, you’re not taking things for granted. I think that nervousness helped me to be aware, be alert and be absolutely precise in the execution of my plans,” said Kohli on Star Sports. The former Indian skipper has been one of the best batsmen in all formats but his T20 World Cup exploits are second to none. He is the leading run scorer in the history of the tournament having scored 1141 runs in 25 innings taking his average to be an unbelievable 81.50. India will face Bangladesh in a warm-up game on June 1 as a part of their preparation in the T20 World Cup set to be held in the USA and West Indies. Rohit Sharma Repeats “Garden Mein” Taunt, Mumbai Indians Star Gives Priceless Response. Watch

Having crashed out of the IPL 2024 playoffs race, five-time champions Mumbai Indians are playing for pride as they take on the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens on Saturday. MI’s season has been overshadowed by the controversial decision to replace Rohit Sharma with Hardik Pandya as the captain of the franchise. Rohit, who led MI to five IPL titles during his tenure, was removed as captain by the franchise after Hardik rejoined the side from Gujarat Titans (GT). However, the decision to remove Rohit sparked a huge uproar among the cricketing fraternity. Despite all of this, Rohit continues to give everything on and off the field. From helping Hardik in captaincy to grooming the young players, Rohit has managed to keep the dressing room together. Most importantly, Rohit’s camaraderie with the youngsters makes him stand out amongst his peers. In one such light hearted, Rohit was seen roasting MI and India youngster Tilak Varma. In a video uploaded by MI, Rohit poked fun at Tilak, who was wearing sliders on the eve of the match against KKR at Eden Gardens. During the Test series against England earlier this year, Rohit had caught the attention of the fans on social media with his “Garden me ghumega” one-liner. Rohit recreated the same moment with Tilak, who came up with a hilarious response to catch the MI icon off guard. “Aye hero, kya kar raha hai bhai? Chappal mein ghum raha hai, garden me aaya hai kya? (Aye hero, what are you doing? Wearing sliders, are you wandering in a garden?),” Rohit said in a video uploaded by MI. “Hai na bhaiya, Eden Gardens (Yes, it’s Eden Gardens!),” Tilak responded. 'Will park few balls out of Long Island...': Rohit, Kohli ignored as Shastri picks 2 players key to India’s T20WC hopes

‘Will park few balls out of Long Island…’: Rohit, Kohli ignored as Shastri picks 2 players key to India’s T20WC hopes

With less than a month’s time left before India kicked off their T20 World Cup campaign in New York against Ireland on June 5, former India head coach Ravi Shastri picked two players who will play a key role in the side’s title hopes. And it’s neither Virat Kohli nor captain Rohit Sharma who will likely play their final T20I appearance at the tournament. Shastri instead picked two left-handed batters who are all set to make a debut in a multi-nation ICC tournament for India – Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube. Ravi Shastri picks 2 players key to India’s T20 World Cup hopes Jaiswal has stated success recently after smashing a record tally of runs in the Test series against England at home earlier this year, which is part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship series. However, he has been a force to reckon with in the shortest format as well, where he amassed 502 runs in just 16 innings for India since his debut in mid-2023, which comprises a century and four fifties. “The two gentlemen you’ve got to watch out for, and both are left-handers, both playing their first World Cup,” Shastri told ICC. “One is [Yashasvi] Jaiswal. We know a lot about him, he did extremely well against England, explosive at the top of the order, left-hander, he’s young, he’s fearless and he’ll play shots.” ‘Watch out for Shivam Dube’: Ravi Shastri The other player that Shastri picked is Chennai Super Kings star Dube, who cracked 26 sixes in just 11 matches in the ongoing IPL 2024 season. The left-hander earned his spot in the Indian T20 World Cup squad on the back of a stellar show in the T20 league in 2023 and 2024, along with his two back-to-back fifties for India in the home T20I contest against Afghanistan earlier in January. “But there’s someone in the middle order, please watch out for [him], because he is explosive, he’s devastating and he’s a match-winner. He hits sixes for fun, and when it comes to spin bowling, he can kill you,” Shastri said. “He’ll park a few balls out of Long Island into the small island, he’s that kind of a player. He hits it big, he hits it long, and like I said, against spin, he could kill you. “Even against the fast bowlers, he’s worked out his game, he’s understood the way to play and I think he holds the key at that number five, number six position because if you’re on the doldrums, you want someone to change it in 20-25 balls, he’s the player to go to.” Shastri was effusive in his praise for the tall all-rounder saying that he could be the key to unlocking big totals for India in the T20 World Cup. Dube has struck at a rate of 170.73 in this ongoing IPL season, while scoring a boundary in almost four deliveries. “His strike rate, which will be close to 200 most of the time, will help India immensely in going forward, getting those 190s, 200s that are needed in big competitions, especially like the [T20] World Cup. So enjoy it, watch out for this left-hander — he’s big, he’s strapping, and he hits a long ball.”

“Done this after a long time”: MI’s Suryakumar on playing match-winning knock against SRH

Mumbai [India], : After playing a match-winning knock against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League 2024 on Monday, Mumbai Indians’ batter Suryakumar Yadav said he has done this after a long time. “Done this after a long time”: MI’s Suryakumar on playing match-winning knock against SRH Suryakumar played an unbeaten 102-run knock from 51 balls at a strike rate of 200. He hammered 12 fours and 6 sixes. His stupendous knock helped MI clinch a seven-wicket win over the Hyderbad-based franchise at the Wankhede Stadium. While speaking after the match, Suryakumar pointed out that he has fielded for 20 overs and batted for 18 overs so there’s no need to worry about his injury. “I have done this after a long time. I fielded for 20 overs and batted for 18 overs, only tired I feel it was the need of the hour for me. I went out to bat, needed someone to bat till the end. When the ball stopped seaming, I played all my shots that I practice in the nets. I feel the intent would have been the same, I would have definitely played in the same pattern,” Suryakumar said. Recapping the match, MI won the toss and elected to field first. SRH lost wickets at regular intervals from the beginning and it was knocks from Travis Head and skipper Pat Cummins that took SRH to 173/8 in their 20 overs. In the run chase, MI lost their top order early and was reeling at 31/3. It was then that Suryakumar and Tilak Varma launched a counter attack which guided MI to a win with 16 balls left. Suryakumar took home the ‘Player of the Match’ honour. MI is at the ninth spot with four wins and eight losses, giving them eight points. SRH is at fourth with six wins, five losses and 12 points.

Yadav unbeaten ton helps Mumbai end losing streak in IPL

MUMBAI, India — Suryakumar Yadav’s masterful unbeaten century led Mumbai Indians to a seven-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League on Monday. Yadav unbeaten ton helps Mumbai end losing streak in IPL Yadav’s unbeaten 102 in 51 balls included six sixes and 12 boundaries at Wankhede. He ensured Mumbai cruised to 174-3 with 16 balls to spare in reply to Hyderabad’s 173-8. Mumbai ended a four-match losing streak. Captain Hardik Pandya and leg-spinner Piyush Chawla earlier squeezed Hyderabad to a total that became competitive only by captain Pat Cummins’ late 35 not out off 17 balls. Mumbai rose on the table from last to second to last. Fourth-placed Hyderabad needs at least two wins from its last three home games to seal a playoff spot. Mumbai’s top order struggles continued when it slipped to 31-3 at home after Rohit Sharma top-edged Cummins on 4. Yadav survived early swing produced by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and took aim at the short square boundaries. He shared the match-winning unbeaten 143-run partnership with Tilak Varma, who scored 37 off 32 balls. Yadav shrugged off discomfort in his legs and raised his half-century off 30 balls. Then he cut loose against Cummins, who conceded 18 runs off his last over. Yadav reached his century with a six off T Natarajan over extra cover that also sealed the game. Earlier, Travis Head launched Hyderabad with 48 off 30 and survived being clean-bowled off a no-ball by IPL debutant pacer Anshul Kamboj. But Kamboj, who conceded 32 off his first two overs, recovered well and clean-bowled Mayank Agarwal. Chawla got the big wicket of Head on the backward square leg boundary. Chawla also dismissed Heinrich Klaasen on 2 off a brilliant googly. Pandya ran through the lower order.

"Rohit Sharma Spoke To Me...": Kuldeep Yadav On Captain's Role In Improving His Batting

“Rohit Sharma Spoke To Me…”: Kuldeep Yadav On Captain’s Role In Improving His Batting

New Delhi : Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav said that skipper Rohit Sharma helped him improve his batting skills during the five-match Test series against England at home from January to March this year. Kuldeep was speaking at a press event in Delhi ahead of his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise’s Delhi Capitals (DC) game against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium. In India’s 4-1 triumph over England at home, Kuldeep had a very valuable role to play, not only with the ball as expected, but surprisingly with the bat as well. Not only he took 19 wickets in four games, including a five-wicket haul, but he also scored 97 runs in six innings at an average of 19.40, with the best score of 30. He would often find himself in situations that could make or break the match for India. With a solid defence, he would hold his end steady and allow the other batter to attack in pursuit of match-saving total or a match-winning target. Also, during his side’s IPL game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens on May 29, Kuldeep scored a valuable 35* in 26 balls with five fours and a six, taking his team to a respectable total of 153/9. Though DC lost the game, Kuldeep top-scored for his side and added another feather to his growing reputation as a capable batter. Speaking at the event, Kuldeep said Rohit does not talk much to him regarding his bowling because he is delivering at his role. However, Rohit was concerned about his batting and helped him get better at it by speaking about the nuances of the discipline during nets. “Rohit bhai does not talk to me much about bowling because I am doing what he wants from me with the ball,” Kuldeep said. “He was concerned about my batting. He told me to improve my batting. I worked on it during the Test series against England [at home earlier this year] and he was impressed by my hard work. He used to be with me in the nets and speak to me about the nuances of batting. This helped me a lot and now I am enjoying my batting as much as my bowling,” said Kuldeep. Coming to the IPL, DC will be taking on RR at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday. Delhi (10 points) is in the sixth position in the season with five wins, and six losses. RR is at the second spot, with eight wins and two losses, giving them 16 points. DC lost their previous match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by seven wickets, while RR lost theirs to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
