IND vs BAN Match Prediction & Analysis It is difficult to beat India in India they say. Well, the Indian team is rightly living up to the expectations. They dominated Bangladesh in New Delhi, securing the T20I series 2-0 with one match remaining. The series’ final game will be played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on 12th October from 7 pm onwards.  TEAMS PREVIEW India Preview India executed a clinical run chase in the first T20I and delivered an equally impressive performance while defending. Nitish Reddy and Rinku Singh shone with the bat, while the bowlers put together a solid team effort to restrict Bangladesh to a modest total in response. They will keep the same team to win the series by 3-0. Sanju Samson will open the innings with Abhishek Sharma. The duo failed to impress in the second T20I. Bangladesh Preview It looks like Bangladesh has no answers when it comes to the ever-evolving format of cricket. They now have five losses in the last six T20Is played. Parvez Hossain Emon will open the innings with Litton Das. Das has been their leading run-scorer for the last two years. He has 842 runs in 34 innings at a strike rate of 125 with five fifties. India is currently on an eight-match winning streak against Bangladesh. The T20 champions lived up to the name in the first game as the young side humbled the experienced visitors to start the T20I series. Bowling first, Arshdeep Singh trapped the Bangladeshi openers with his swing in his first two overs. Skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto slowed down India’s success with his 27 runs off 25 balls. TEAMS PREVIEW India Preview Along with two debuts India also saw the return of Sanju Samson and Varun Charavarthy in the squad. Samson scored 29 off 19 in the first game. This came after his back-to-back ducks against Sri Lanka back in April. He will open the innings with Abhishek Sharma. Sharma has 140 runs in six games played so far at a strike rate of 179.48. His short innings of 16 in 7 showed a glimpse of something big coming in the second game. He will be the batter to watch out for.  Bangladesh Preview It looks like Bangladesh has no answers when it comes to the ever-evolving format of cricket. IND vs BAN Match Prediction & Analysis After the successful campaign in Pakistan, Bangladesh will play a couple of Tests and three T20Is in the three-and-a-half-week tour. India will take on Bangladesh in the first Test of the two-match series at Chepauk on September 19th, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. The second and last Test of the series will be played in Kanpur. TEAMS PREVIEW India Preview It was the fifth Test of the series in March 2024 when India last played Test cricket. Since then, they played a T20 World Cup and went on to win it. A long wait for the ICC trophy is finally over. After getting the much-needed rest after the hectic schedule of the IPL and World Cup, India is back to Test cricket for the last leg before the finalists of this WTC cycle will be decided.  Bangladesh Preview Winning in India is tough. Many in-form, strong teams have come here in the last decade and returned empty-handed. But Bangladesh will fancy their chances, ever so slightly, after a tremendous series win against Pakistan. The margin of victories will boost their confidence even further.   Weather Conditions The weather on the match day at Chepauk is expected to be mostly clear with occasional clouds during the day. The temperature will be around 37Β°C mark with very little chance of rain. It looks like these are excellent conditions for India’s return to Tests after a prolonged gap. IND vs BAN Pitch Report The venue of the match is MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai. It is one of the most iconic stadiums in India. It was established in 1916, making it one of India’s oldest cricket venues. It first hosted a Test match in 1934 and has been a prominent venue for international cricket since then. The stadium has a seating capacity of 38,000 spectators. Toss: To Bat A total of 22 Tests have been played at this venue, with the team batting first, winning 12 games compared to 10 for the team batting second. With the assistance of spin on offer in the later stages of the game, it would be a good idea to bat first here.  The team winning the toss should bat first.

T20 World Cup: Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya star in India's easy win over Bangladesh in warm-up game | Cricket News

T20 World Cup: Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya star in India’s easy win over Bangladesh in warm-up game | Cricket News

NEW DELHI: Rishabh Pant and all-round Hardik Pandya hogged the spotlight as India brushed aside Bangladesh in the T20 World Cup warm-up match in New York on Saturday. In the comfortable 60-run win, India had several positive aspects, with Pant’s fifty being the most significant. Pant’s impressive performance (53 off 32 balls, including 4 fours and 4 sixes) and Hardik’s valuable contribution with both bat and ball (40 not out off 23 balls, with 2 fours and 4 sixes) propelled India to a solid 182 for five after choosing to bat first.Defending the total proved to be a straightforward task as left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh-led India restricted Bangladesh to 122 for nine. Despite a brief resistance from Mahmudullah Riyaz (40 retired out; 28b, 4×4, 1×6) and Shakib Al Hasan (28), who added 75 runs for the sixth wicket, Bangladesh could only manage to reduce the margin of defeat after being reduced to 41 for five.As It HappenedArshdeep, who had a subpar IPL season with Punjab Kings, struck twice within the Powerplay, dismissing Soumya Sarkar and Litton Das. Mohammed Siraj added to Bangladesh’s woes by removing skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto (0), leaving them reeling at 10 for three in 3.5 overs. The Indian bowlers showcased their skills in exploiting the slow pitch and sluggish outfield, with pacer Shivam Dube also contributing two wickets (2/11).Bangladesh’s lackluster batting performance highlighted the significance of Pant and Hardik’s innings. Pant’s knock has likely secured his position as the first-choice wicketkeeper-batter for India in the World Cup, giving him an edge over Sanju Samson.Samson, who opened the innings with skipper Rohit Sharma (23, 19b, 2×4, 1×6) in place of Virat Kohli, struggled to adapt to the pitch conditions and was dismissed for a 6-ball 1 by left-arm pacer Shoriful Islam.Suryakumar Yadav (31, 18b, 4×4) and Pandya (40) also made valuable contributions to India’s competitive total. Pant’s exceptional touch, which he displayed during the IPL 2024 for Delhi Capitals, continued in this match as he played his characteristic shots and brought up his fifty in just 32 balls. Hardik, who was dropped on 26, provided the necessary acceleration by smashing three consecutive sixes off left-arm spinner Tanvir Islam, showcasing his power and execution. His innings and confidence might have immensely pleased the team management and himself after a modest outing as Mumbai Indians’ captain in a season where he was subjected to intense professional and personal scrutiny.Bangladesh also suffered an injury scare as Shoriful walked off just before bowling the final ball of the innings, as Tanzim Hasan completed the over. Rohit Sharma trains 'bowler' Shivam Dube for T20 World Cup ahead of India vs Bangladesh warm-up game

Rohit Sharma trains ‘bowler’ Shivam Dube for T20 World Cup ahead of India vs Bangladesh warm-up game

India are slated to face Bangladesh at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Saturday in their only warm-up fixture ahead of their opener in the 2024 T20 World Cup, which is on June 5 against Ireland at the same venue. Ahead of the match, India hosted their final practice session with former captain Virat Kohli still absent, but significant aspects remained Rinku Singh’s batting and Shivam Dube’s lengthy chat with captain Rohit Sharma. India had their practice session on Friday ahead of the T20 World Cup warm-up game against Bangladesh Just like on Thursday, India had a three-hour-long practice session on Friday morning as well. Kohli was the only squad member missing, as the 35-year-old was en route to New York to join the Indian side. Kohli had reportedly extended his period of break after the end of his IPL 2024 campaign and, hence, was not part of the first batch of players that left for the World Cup. India started their training session with fielding drills, focusing on flat and high catches under the watchful eyes of fielding coach T Dilip. The focus then shifted to the batting nets, where Suryakumar Yadav spent a considerable time facing throwdowns. Rohit followed in next as he faced the likes of Khaleel Ahmed, Dube, Kuldeep Yadav, Avesh Khan and Ravindra Jadeja, with the captain even practising the reverse sweep against the spinners. During his session, he was also seen having a lengthy chat with Dube about which areas or lengths to bowl, given that it was a drop-in pitch at the Cantiague Park in New York. According to the video released by Star Sports, Rohit can be seen animatedly explaining Dube about the lengths and the type of shots batters can attempt. Dube has been picked as an all-rounder in the Indian team despite getting limited opportunities with the ball in IPL 2024 as the Impact Player reduced his role to a mere middle-order batter. After bowling in the home series against Afghanistan earlier in January, Dube rolled hi arms for only an over in IPL 2024 for Chennai Super Kings, where he also picked a wicket. Unlike Thursday, when Yashasvi Jaiswal had a light training session owing to jet lag, the India opener had a proper session at the nets as he honed his cover drives and pull shots, while Hardik Pandya, once again, had a long batting stint while having regular conversations with batting coach Vikram Rathour throughout his session. Rathour was seen explaining to Hardik about his head position, stance and footwork. Rinku Singh in fluent touch The Kolkata Knight Riders batter may have missed the T20 World Cup squad cut with selectors opting for four spinners in the line-up, leaving Rinku in the reserves category, but the left-hander looked in fluent touch at the nets. According to journalist Vimal Kumar, Rinku looked in flair at the nets. With Kohli most likely to miss the warm-up game against Bangladesh, given that he will be joining the squad on Friday evening, and will be recovering from jet lag on Saturday, India might send Rinku to bat during the match.

Harmanpreet Kaur, debutant Asha Sobhana star as India make it 4-0 against Bangladesh in five-match T20 series – India TV

Harmanpreet Kaur, debutant Asha Sobhana star as India make it 4-0 against Bangladesh in five-match T20 series

Image Source : BCCI WOMEN X Harmanpreet Kaur and Richa Ghosh stitched a 28-ball 44 partnership which probably was the difference in the end for India in the 4th T20I The Indian women’s cricket team is on the brink of a historic clean sweep against Bangladesh having taken a 4-0 lead with a rather comfortable victory by 56 runs on DLS method in a rain-curtailed game on Monday, May 6 in Sylhet. The match was reduced to a 14-over-a-side contest and the Indian batters came out all guns blazing, showing the intent to get to a strong score. Yes, they did lose wickets at regular intervals but the fearlessness on the show was a good reminder that this line-up can bat like that when required. Shafali Verma got out cheaply but Smriti Mandhana and Dayalan Hemalatha played their part with impactful 22 each. Hemalatha in particular was aggressive and hit two fours and as many sixes in her short burst. Then came skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, who too looked to take attack to the opposition. After both Mandhana and Hemalatha got out, Richa Ghosh joined forces with Harmanpreet to get a few more quick runs for the side. The duo stitched a 44-run stand off just 28 balls and the team score went beyond 100. Ghosh got out after scoring 24 but a few lusty blows from the skipper at the end and another late cameo from S Sajana pushed India’s score to 122. Bangladesh needed to bat out of their skins to chase down 125 in 14 overs and the spin chokehold from India began from the outset with Deepti Sharma getting the opener Murshida Khatun early. Deepti struck again immediately after the powerplay before the oldest debutant for Indian women’s team Asha Sobhana got into her work with a couple of wickets. There was a lot of praying and gratitude from Asha after she got her main scalp as it meant a lot for her after a sensational couple of seasons in the Women’s Premier League following years of toiling in domestic cricket. After which it was a formality as the Bangladesh batters struggled and kept hitting out eventually to be restricted to just 68 runs and the Women in Blue completed yet another solid win. Skipper Harmanoreet Kaur was adjudged the player of the match for her 26-ball 39, which laid the platform for India to get to 122.
