‘Karun Nair gets 100, KL Rahul requests BCCI to…’: Gambhir handed ‘two gems’ ahead of England series

Former England captain Kevin Pietersen, who mentored Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, is mighty impressed with Karun Nair and KL Rahul ahead of the upcoming five-match Test series against England. Pietersen, who worked with both these batters at close quarters in the T20 competition, lauded the way both are preparing for the upcoming series, beginning June 20. Kevin Pietersen, who mentored Delhi Capitals in IPL 2025, is mighty impressed with Karun Nair and KL Rahul(PTI) Karun Nair vindicated the selectors’ call to include him in the main squad as he hit a century in the ongoing first unofficial Test between India A and England Lions in Canterbury. The right-handed batter, 33, made full use of some below-par bowling on a green surface, which offered some initial assistance for the pacers. Karun remained unbeaten on 186 on Day 1 of the first unofficial Test as he made a strong case for his inclusion in the playing XI for the first match of the five-Test series against England in Headingley. The right-hander was involved in an 181-run stand for the third wicket with Sarfaraz Khan. The latter missed out on a well-deserved century, but Karun piled the misery, and he found support in Dhruv Jurel. According to reports, KL Rahul has also requested that the BCCI fly him to the UK next week so that he can play the second Test between India A and England Lions. Also Read: Karun Nair makes dream start to England tour with century for India A Pietersen labelled Nair and Rahul as “two gems” of Indian cricket as he appreciated their efforts to prepare for the England tour. “Karun gets a 100 yesterday, and KL has asked BCCI to travel early to the UK to get extra practice in before Tests – 2 gems,” Pietersen wrote on X (formerly Twitter). KL Rahul to leave for the UK on Monday According to a report in the Times of India, KL Rahul will leave for the UK on Monday after being granted permission by the BCCI. Rahul was originally slated to leave alongside the rest of the Indian team on June 6. However, he decided to play the second India A Test against the England Lions after rain spoilt his preparation in Mumbai. KL Rahul had also played for India A before the start of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. The opening batter will now be required to shoulder the responsibility of the batting order after the Test retirements of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Rahul was one of India’s best batters in the series against Australia, which India lost 1-3. India will be led by Shubman Gill against England while Rishabh Pant will serve as his deputy. India squad: Shubman Gill (C), Rishabh Pant, Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Sai Sudharsan, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Karun Nair, Nitish Reddy, Ravindra Jadeja, Dhruv Jurel, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohd. Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Akash Deep, Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav.

𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐂𝐇 : Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 : May 24,Saturday𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 :19:30 PM IST𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐔𝐄 : Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur, India𝐓𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 : Indian Premier League 2025 Prabhsimran Singh and Shreyas Iyer are the in-form batters for Punjab, so backing either of them to put up 30 or more in this match will be a smart choice.  Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals TV channels: The fans can watch the match live on Hotstar Live Streaming: Live streaming of the match will be available on the FAFA191 Cricket Exchange India and website. PBKS vs DC Match Prediction & Analysis Match 66 of IPL 2025 brings Punjab Kings (PBKS) up against Delhi Capitals (DC) this Saturday in Jaipur. Punjab have sealed a playoff berth with 17 points from 12 outings and are currently placed third. Their aim now is to break into the top two, which would give them an extra shot at making the final. As for DC, their season is already over in terms of playoff hopes. They’ve been knocked out and have just this one match left to close things out on a better note. Based on how Punjab have gone about things lately, they carry the upper hand heading into this clash. RECENT PERFORMANCE TEAMS PREVIEW Punjab Kings Preview After 11 long years, Punjab Kings are finally back in the IPL Playoffs. They’ve earned it with steady performances all season and now have their sights on breaking into the top two. Their batting has clicked throughout. Prabhsimran Singh (458 runs in 12 innings) and Priyansh Arya (356 in 12) have brought intent at the top, setting up strong starts. When these sides last met—during that game in Dharamsala that was eventually scrapped—it was Priyansh (70 off 34) and Prabhsimran (50 off 38) who had powered Punjab to 122 in just 10 overs. One of them stepping up again could be a game-changer. Shreyas Iyer has kept the innings steady through the middle, piling up 435 runs in 12 games while striking at 175. He’s looked calm and dependable. Nehal Wadhera hasn’t gone big but has chipped in with brisk knocks at around 160 strike rate—often just when the side needed a lift.  Punjab also get a boost with the arrival of all four of their remaining overseas options—Marcus Stoinis, Josh Inglis, Aaron Hardie, and Kyle Jamieson. While the team has rotated them this season, Stoinis and Inglis seem likely to get the nod, given destructive they can be on their day. Keep an eye on Shashank Singh too. He’s handled the closing stages with a cool head and turned games late when it mattered most. Delhi Capitals Preview Delhi Capitals are done for the season. They kicked things off on a high, winning their first four matches, but things went downhill fast—just two wins in the next nine games and seven losses, including their previous one against Mumbai Indians, which ended any playoff hopes. DC just haven’t managed to put it together as a team. Neither the batting nor the bowling has found any rhythm for long stretches. Still, there have been a few bright spots. KL Rahul has led the charge with the bat, scoring 504 runs in 12 innings, and he remains their main hope with the bat in this match. Abishek Porel has also held up his end at the top, putting together 301 runs in 13 matches at a strike rate of 147.  Axar Patel and Tristan Stubbs have chipped in at tough moments, keeping things steady in the middle when things could have easily fallen apart. Axar missed the previous match due to a bout of flu but is expected to return for the team’s final game. Ashutosh Sharma has given them a spark at the back end, stepping up under pressure. Weather Conditions At Sawai Mansingh Stadium, the pitch has a dependable bounce and a firm track just under its light, grassy top. Once the first few overs are out of the way, batsmen should be able to time the ball well and find rhythm. Spinners could have a harder time later in the evening when the dew starts to settle in. With its size and setup, this ground encourages big shots and high totals. Jaipur’s weather is expected to be hot and dry, with no chance of rain. Conditions are stable enough to ensure the match goes ahead without any interruptions. PBKS vs DC Pitch Report The average score batting first at Sawai Mansingh Stadium is 165. However, the tracks this season have generally offered plenty for the batters. Whoever bats first in this match will target a total in the 210 range to feel comfortable about defending it. Toss: To Bat The last two matches played at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in IPL 2025 have been won by the side batting first. This is likely to prompt both captains to look to bat first in this match.

Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals in last-ditch battle for playoffs

Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals in last-ditch battle for playoffs

Mumbai: By the time Mumbai Indians step out to play their penultimate league tie against Delhi Capitals on Wednesday at home, it would have been a fortnight since their last game. Remember the last ball midnight thriller which they lost to Gujarat Titans at the Wankhede? IPL resumption matters the most for the two teams still in qualification contention – Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals. (AFP) In the interim, missiles were fired across the India-Pakistan border, IPL was suspended, Rohit Sharma called it quits in Test cricket. But here they are, back to normalcy. And straight in with an opportunity to seal the fourth playoff berth behind Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans. “It’s in our control. It’s a great position to be in,” said Mahela Jayawardene, MI head coach. “It’s better to have it in our control than anyone else’s and watch that situation, we’ve played good cricket to deserve to be in that situation… We’ve had a good week’s preparation and watched what the other teams were doing. We just need to go out and express ourselves and play a good game.” Before their last loss, MI, on a six-match winning streak, were looking like the team to beat. With the forced break, every team has had to start again. Five teams at the bottom of the points table have lost the right to advance further. IPL resumption matters the most for the two teams still in qualification contention – MI and DC. For DC, this is virtually a must-win. A slip-up from Delhi, and the only point of interest that will be left in the last week of IPL 2025 will be to see who finishes in the top two. “Every game is a pressure match in IPL. But there is additional pressure. If we lose, we are out,” said Munaf Patel, DC bowling coach. Besides, DC are having to play the remaining matches without Mitchell Starc, their leading wicket-taker and all-phase paceman. “It matters. Starc was our main bowler. Someone who could bowl 145kph, swing the ball. And we are playing at Wankhede where the pitch has bounce,” said Patel. “But you have to go with what you have and get performance.” They fared poorly the last time without Starc, in Delhi on Sunday. Coming off a 10-wicket loss, after watching Gujarat Titans openers Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan chase down 200, Mustafizur Rahman and Dushmantha Chameera will need to do a lot better. Wednesday’s action could be affected by weather with Mumbai experiencing unseasonal rains. No result will leave both teams with work to do in their final league matches. To cover for the threat of rain, as provided for the playoffs, an additional hour has been allocated for the remaining league matches in case of stoppages. “Obviously the weather has been threatening most of the games and it’s a decision that they’ve collectively taken,” Jayawardene said. “If it helps, it helps. But if you have serious rain, I don’t know whether the extra hour is going to help. As long as we can get a game with the extension…everyone wants to play a game of cricket rather than not play.”

Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals, IPLT20, Today Match Prediction

𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐂𝐇 : Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals 𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 : May 21,Wednesday𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 : 19:30 PM IST𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐔𝐄 : Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai City, India 𝐓𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 : Indian Premier League, 2025 The previous meeting between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals in IPL 2025 ended with MI pulling off a 12-run victory in a nail-biter. Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals TV channels: The fans can watch the match live on Hotstar Live Streaming: Live streaming of the match will be available on the FAFA191 Cricket Exchange India and website. MI vs DC Match Prediction & Analysis The Wankhede will host a high-stakes clash this Wednesday as Mumbai Indians take on Delhi Capitals in Match 63 of IPL 2025 in what could be a potential decider. Mumbai are in fourth place with 14 points from 12 outings, while Delhi sit just behind with 13 from the same number of matches. If Delhi lose, they’re out—no second chances. Mumbai, on the other hand, punch their playoff ticket with a win. So, both teams have everything riding on this. TEAMS PREVIEW Mumbai Indians Preview Mumbai Indians are on the brink of sealing a playoff berth. Sitting on 14 points from 12 games, one more win would lock them in. If they lose, things get a bit dicey—they’ll need to win their last league match and cross their fingers for other results. That said, confidence should be high in the camp. They’ve taken six wins from their last seven. The top order’s finding form at the right time—Ryan Rickelton, Will Jacks, and Rohit Sharma are all getting runs. Rohit’s hit three fifties in his last five, Rickelton’s got two in his last three, and Jacks looked solid with one against GT in their last fixture. These three have been giving the side a solid start more often than not. The engine room, though, is where MI’s push is really coming from. Suryakumar Yadav is in unreal form—510 runs in 12 matches, averaging over 60 and striking at 170+. He looks set for another big knock. Tilak Varma is keeping the tempo high, while Hardik Pandya and Naman Dhir have chipped in with handy cameos under pressure. Pandya’s been handy with the ball too—13 wickets, though his economy’s just over nine. Deepak Chahar’s struck ten times but hasn’t quite closed out the death overs. Trent Boult has been useful both early and late, and Jasprit Bumrah looks like he’s heating up again with eight wickets in his last three. If he and Boult hit the mark late, MI could edge it. Delhi Capitals Preview It’s now or never for Delhi Capitals. A defeat in this match would knock them out of playoff contention. Their recent loss to Gujarat Titans didn’t just sting — it ended their top-two hopes, with their net run rate (0.260) dragging behind the rest of the top five. KL Rahul will have to lead from the front if DC is to put up a fight against Mumbai. He’s coming off a blazing unbeaten 112 off 65 balls versus GT and has already scored 493 runs in 11 innings this season. They’ll need another strong knock from him. Abishek Porel has held his own as well at the top, scoring 295 runs in 12 matches at a strike rate of 150. Axar Patel and Tristan Stubbs have helped steady things when the middle order has looked shaky, adding vital runs at tense moments. Ashutosh Sharma has added late firepower, helping the side stay on track during crunch situations. With Mitchell Starc ruled out of the tournament, DC will be counting on Dushmantha Chameera and Mustafizur Rahman. Mustafizur brings control and experience, and you can back him for an economical spell. However, Chameera tends to go for runs. Kuldeep Yadav has been dependable, grabbing 12 wickets while keeping things tight at 6.97 an over. Vipraj Nigam has picked up nine wickets but has been expensive, conceding at 9.45 per over. Axar’s steady spin could come in handy again on a surface like this. They may also consider swapping out T Natarajan for Mukesh Kumar, given Natarajan’s struggles with economy. Weather Conditions Wankhede usually leans in favor of batters, but there’s a short stretch early on where seamers can make things happen with the new ball. After that, the pitch tends to settle, and runs come easier. Spinners may find some grip during the middle overs, but overall, the surface should stay true, so pace-off deliveries might not be the smartest call. The weather in Mumbai looks humid and overcast, with the possibility of a thunderstorm or two, but a full game still seems likely. MI vs DC Pitch Report At Wankhede, first-innings scores usually hover around 170. RCB smashed the highest ever here with 235-1 against MI back in 2015. Both teams will be eyeing a score of around 200-210 to feel confident about their chances. Toss: To Bowl Chasing teams have come out on top in four of the six matches played at Wankhede in IPL 2025, suggesting that batting second has had the upper hand at this ground.

IPL 2025: Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill show Delhi Capitals what they have been missing this season | Cricket News

Gujarat Titans’ captain Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan being congratulated by Delhi Capitals’ KL Rahul (PTI Photo) NEW DELHI: KL Rahul did much of the heavy-lifting for Delhi Capitals as they batted first against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday evening. During his 60-ball century, and eventual 112* from 65 balls, he ticked plenty of boxes in an effortless knock which took DC to 199 runs, their biggest total at this venue in IPL 2025.While playing 65 balls (the most by a batter this IPL season), he pocketed numerous milestones along the way as well: fastest Indian to 8000 T20 runs, fourth on the list of most centurions in IPL history, joint-third in the list of most centuries by Indians in T20s.His innings was stupendously paced as well. In his first 20 balls, he scored 25 runs. In the next 20 balls each he scored 38 and 39 runs, respectively. The last five balls fetched 10 runs. As far as pacing an innings in a T20 is concerned, this was template stuff. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW!And this was the plan all along as DC moved KL Rahul to top of the order. Having tried multiple combinations with none of them proving fruitful, the franchise rolled the dice again. And again, it didn’t work out. Faf du Plessis fell for 5 after a laboured start, producing an opening stand of just 16 runs. But it allowed KL Rahul more time to get settled before going into the attacking mode, which saw 14 fours and four sixes. Except, it wasn’t enough — by a long margin. Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill showed what DC have been missing all this season — a set pair to open the innings. The pairing collected their seventh 50-plus stand for the first wicket in IPL 2025. And when they crossed the 100-run mark without much of a fuss, it was their seventh in IPL history. As the score ticked to 158 runs, the records just became harsh on DC, as it was the highest opening stand against them. Not long after, Sudharsan, fittingly, got the job done with a six. The manner of the result was also duly appropriate. Half-tracker outside off by Vipraj Nigam, Sudharsan went on the back foot and pulled well over long-on. Six and Gujarat Titans had earned themselves a 10-wicket win and a place in the playoffs. Well, themselves and Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings as well. The maximum to close the match out was the 11th six of the GT innings, which coupled with the 15 fours, meant 126 of the 205 runs that GT scored came in boundaries or 61.46%. Sudharsan’s 108 from 61 balls and Gill’s 93 from 53 balls were laden with boundaries, yet there was little risk involved. Where Gill controlled 82% of his shots, Sudharsan was on 85% on that metric. Bombay Sport Exchange Ep 5: Shane Watson on how IPL gave him a lifeline & his tribute to Phil Hughes “We’ve batted and played really well throughout, going into the playoffs is a reward for how well we’ve done. Openers play low-risk cricket, still they have the ability to hit down the ground and find boundaries. The fours they hit during the game, especially. They know their game, they put a lot of work in strengthening their basics which shows,” said GT assistant coach Parthiv Patel after the win.“Opening pair is about chemistry and knowing each other’s games wel,l which they do,” he added. On the eve of the match, Parthiv had stressed on looking at the glass-half-full with their batting, suggesting he was focused on the top order doing the job for them. And on Sunday, that glass just got a bit fuller. Get IPL 2025 match schedules, squads, points table, and live scores for CSK, MI, RCB, KKR, SRH, LSG, DC, GT, PBKS, and RR. Delhi Capitals vs Gujarat Titans TV channels: The fans can watch the match live on Hotstar Live Streaming: Live streaming of the match will be available on the FAFA191 Cricket Exchange India and website. DC vs GT Match Prediction & Analysis Delhi Capitals (DC) take on Gujarat Titans (GT) in Match 60 of IPL 2025 this Sunday in Delhi. DC have picked up six wins from 11 games and currently hold fifth place with 13 points. Gujarat, on the other hand, lead the standings with 16 points from 11 matches and are all but certain to reach the playoffs. A loss here could put Delhi in a tight spot. Gujarat have been in solid form and carry more momentum heading into this one, which gives them the advantage in what’s expected to be a tough contest. RECENT PERFORMANCE TEAMS PREVIEW Delhi Capitals Preview Delhi Capitals are still in the race for the playoffs—six wins, four losses, sitting fifth at the moment. They opened strong this season, taking five wins from their first six, but it’s been a rough stretch since, with just one win in the last five games. At 12 points from 11 matches, they’re in a tight spot now. Another slip-up could really hurt their chances, so this one’s got added pressure. The timing isn’t ideal either. There’s still no word on whether Faf du Plessis will be back after the break. Tristan Stubbs, however, will be back for the rest of the league phase. If Faf remains out, it’ll fall on the Indian players to push the team forward. KL Rahul will need to be at the front of that effort. He’s been calm but assertive—381 runs from nine innings at a strike rate of 142.16. Abishek Porel has done well at the top too, piling up 265 runs in 11 games with a strike rate of 150. Axar Patel has stepped in when needed, especially during wobbling middle overs, adding runs that helped settle things. He, along with Stubb,s will be crucial from overs 10-20. Ashutosh Sharma has chipped in late, hitting quick runs to keep the innings moving when the pressure’s been on. Gujarat Titans Preview Gujarat Titans have been one of the steadiest sides in IPL 2025, collecting 16 points from 11 games to sit at the top of the table. With a playoff spot nearly in the bag, they’ll be aiming to lock in a top-two finish to get two chances at making the final. While the one-week suspension caused overseas player issues for several teams, Gujarat haven’t had much to worry about. Jos Buttler and Gerald Coetzee were the only ones who left India after the pause, and both are expected back before the next game. Rashid Khan, Sherfane Rutherford, Kagiso Rabada, and Karim Janat stayed back with the team during the break. GT look balanced across departments, and both units are firing smoothly. At the top, Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill, and Jos Buttler have been piling on the runs, each going past 500 for the season. The form of this trio has been a huge factor in Gujarat’s dominance, and there’s no doubt they’ll be central again. In the middle, Rutherford has quietly put together 229 runs in eight knocks at a strike rate of 159. Rahul Tewatia, as usual, has chipped in during the final stretch of innings with his handy cameos. The bowlers have kept their end of the bargain, too. Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna have taken 35 wickets between them, and Sai Kishore has picked up 14 while maintaining control with an economy of 8.37. In a further boost to the team, Kagiso Rabada is all set to be back for GT for the remaining league games. The South African speedster’s presence will further bolster an already strong bowling unit. Rashid Khan is also beginning to find his rhythm again. If the pitch suits them, this bowling unit could make an impact once more. Weather Conditions The surface at Arun Jaitley Stadium is generally flat and settles well once the lights come on. It’s a ground where batters can trust the bounce and get good reward for timing, especially with shots played square. Spinners may find a bit of help later in the game, but it’s usually nothing major, so expect the bat to have the upper hand. Delhi’s weather will be warm and sticky, but there’s no rain in the forecast. The average first innings score at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium sits at 170. The highest total recorded at the venue in IPL 2025 is 205-5 by Mumbai Indians against the home side, a game they won by 12 runs. Expect another high-scoring game with both teams targeting a total of over 200 to feel confident. Toss: To Bat Three of the four matches played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in IPL 2025 have been won by the team batting first. Going by these numbers, it’s clear that batting first is advantageous on this venue.

PBKS vs DC Match Prediction & Analysis Punjab Kings (PBKS) meet Delhi Capitals (DC) in Match 58 of IPL 2025 this Thursday at the scenic Dharamsala. DC have managed six wins from 11 outings and are currently in fifth place on 13 points. PBKS, on the other hand, hold second with 15 points from 11 matches. With the playoff race heating up, this clash carries plenty of weight for both sides. Based on recent form, Punjab appear to have the edge heading into this one. TEAMS PREVIEW Punjab Kings Preview Punjab Kings jumped to second place with a dominant 37-run win over Lucknow Super Giants, defending a hefty 236-5 in Dharamsala. Prabhsimran Singh was on fire with a 91 off 48—his fourth fifty this year—and now leads the team’s batting charts with 437 runs in 11 matches. Their batting has been a strength all season. Prabhsimran and Priyansh Arya have started games with intent, though Priyansh has lacked consistency. Shreyas Iyer has anchored the middle overs well, scoring 405 runs in 11 innings at a strike rate of 170. He’s looked composed and remains a reliable option. Nehal Wadhera has chipped in with quick cameos in the middle, striking at around 150. His scores haven’t been huge, but they’ve come at the right time. Josh Inglis slotted in at number three last game and hammered 30 off 14—he’ll likely stick to that role going forward. Marcus Stoinis is a hit-or-miss type but dangerous in the slog overs. Shashank Singh has quietly handled the finishing job and has turned games around late with the bat. Arshdeep Singh has been the wrecker-in-chief with the ball for Punjab with 16 wickets in 10 innings at an economy of 8. He’s fresh off a match-winning spell of 3-16 against LSG and will be itching to do well again here at Dharamsala. Marco Jansen has struggled, and there’s not much backup available. Yuzvendra Chahal tends to leak runs when he’s off his game, which releases the pressure and adds more pressure on the others. But if he and Arshdeep click together, Punjab could dominate again. Delhi Capitals Preview Delhi Capitals are still in the playoff hunt—six wins, four losses, and currently in fifth. They caught a lucky break in their last outing against Sunrisers Hyderabad. After stumbling to 133-7 while batting first at Uppal, the rain came down just in time to hand both teams a point each, rescuing DC from what was shaping up to be a defeat. DC got off to a flying start this season with five wins in their opening six games, but have stumbled since, managing only one win from the last five. With 12 points from 11 matches, there’s little room for error now. Dropping another game could make things messy, so this match carries some extra weight for them. DC’s batting has done a decent job, though it hasn’t quite matched some of the top sides. KL Rahul’s been steady and aggressive when needed—381 runs from nine innings at a strike rate of 142.16. Abishek Porel has provided strong starts too, scoring 265 in 11 matches with a 150 strike rate. Axar Patel has chipped in when things have looked shaky, adding valuable runs when the team needed someone to hold firm. Tristan Stubbs, further down the order, played a composed 41 off 36 against SRH when they were in serious trouble at 62-6. He’s racked up 259 runs across 11 innings at a healthy 151.46 and can be expected to contribute again. Weather Conditions Dharamsala’s pitch holds onto the day’s heat even after sunset, keeping the bounce steady. Early on, the cold mountain air creates tricky swing conditions for about six overs, but once dew sets in, it turns into a problem for bowlers. Batting becomes smoother after that, and boundaries come easier. Slower balls grip around twilight but lose their edge later.  Expect cool weather overall, with a 62% chance of afternoon rain that could delay the start. PBKS vs DC Pitch Report The average score batting first at Dharamsala is 188. In the first game of the season played at the venue, Punjab Kings smashed 236-5 batting first against Lucknow Super Giants and won the game by 37 runs. Both teams will target a score of around 210 to feel confident about their chances. Toss: To Bat At Dharamsala, teams batting first have come out on top in 9 of the 12 T20s played there, including the most recent game. That track record makes a strong case for choosing to bat first at this ground.
