He was also involved in a partnership of 203 runs with Sehwag, who tormented the opposition bowlers with a knock of 175. From there on, Kohli hasn’t looked back and currently has 1795 runs to his name from 37 matches at an average of 59.83 with 5 centuries. “For me it was definitely a moment where I was a bit nervous heading into the game and definitely the night before I was quite nervous but that is a good sign as well because your body is preparing you to enter a situation where you’re alert, you’re not taking things for granted. Just getting used to the conditions I think the sun is a bit more brighter over here so just getting used to it. (On the opportunity to play in the World Cup) Hopefully I make it count,” he added.
