Premadasa Stadium – Colombo, Sri Lanka TOURNAMENT: Sri Lanka vs Zimbabwe 2nd T20 2024 Sri Lanka vs Zimbabwe Betting Tips Kusal Mendis has scored over 3450 T20 runs across his career and the 28 year old right-hander is our tip for Sri Lanka’s highest run scorer on Tuesday. Wanindu Hasaranga took 2/19 on Sunday and the captain is well worth backing as Sri Lanka’s top wicket taker on this spinning track in Colombo. It is now five successive half-centuries for Sikandar Raza in T20I cricket and we expect Zimbabwe’s captain to be their highest run scorer in the second game of the series. Richard Ngarava has picked up a wicket in the first over in every game on this tour and the pace bowler is our pick for Zimbabwe’s top wicket taker in this match.Wanindu Hasaranga is enjoying bowling at the RPS and we recommend selecting him to take over 1.5 wickets in this fixture. SL vs ZIM 2nd T20 Match Prediction & Betting Tips Sri Lanka host Zimbabwe at the R Premadasa Stadium once more on Tuesday as the two sides lock horns in the second T20I of the series. The first game provided a very exciting finish with Sri Lanka winning the match by 3 wickets from the final ball of the fixture on Sunday. Read on as we preview this game. The T20I begins in Colombo at 19:00 local time. Sri Lanka may have beaten Zimbabwe in two ODIs and one T20I already this month but two of those games have gone down to the wire. However, their players have far more experience of playing at this venue and we expect them to get another victory in this match. Zimbabwe came very close to getting their first win of this tour on Sunday but losing does become a habit. They have not won any of their last four T20Is away from home and are yet to beat Sri Lanka in this format at any venue. It will be tough to level the series at 1-1 but Zimbabwe do have match-winners in their team. SL vs ZIM Match Toss PredictionAll of the last five T20Is at the RPS have seen the team fielding first win the match. Therefore, we expect to see both sides choosing to field first if they win the toss. SL vs ZIM Pitch ReportIt is a low spinning pitch in Colombo with the RPS wicket seemingly getting slower as this Zimbabwe tour progresses. Any first innings score of 150+ should be enough to win the match. Colombo Weather ReportClear skies are forecast on Tuesday evening in Colombo with the temperature in the mid twenties. There will also be high humidity throughout the match. Read on for team previews, betting tips, latest odds, and match prediction for Sri Lanka vs Zimbabwe 2nd T20 2024

CSK vs SRH, IPL 2024: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Tushar Deshpande Guide Chennai Super Kings To Easy Win

CSK vs SRH, IPL 2024: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Tushar Deshpande Guide Chennai Super Kings To Easy Win

Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad’s belligerent 98 was complemented by a clinical bowling display, led by pacer Tushar Deshpande, as Chennai Super Kings defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 78 runs in the Indian Premier League in Chennai on Sunday. Invited to bat, Gaikwad’s valiant 54-ball knock was the driving force which propelled CSK to an imposing 212 for three. He was ably supported by Daryl Mitchell, who returned to form with a crucial 32-ball 52 before Shivam Dube’s 20-ball 39 not out took CSK past the 200 mark. In response, SRH’s ultra-cautious batting approach backfired again as they couldn’t recover from Deshpande’s (4/27 in 3 overs) three-wicket burst with the new ball and the middle-overs squeeze to be all out for 134 in 18.5 overs as CSK snapped their two-game losing streak. Following the win, CSK moved to the third spot with 10 points, same as Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals. SRH, who are also on 10 points, slipped to fourth after their fourth loss. Chasing 213 to win, Travis Head (13) and Abhishek Sharma (15) made rapid starts but Deshpande got rid of the former with a slower wide ball and then returned to remove impact sub Anmolpreet Singh with an outswinger on the stumps as the batter went for a golden duck. Abhishek was next caught at deep point as Deshpande broke their back, leaving SRH at 40 for 3 in the fourth over. Nitish Reddy (15) and Aiden Markram (32) tried to steady the ship but Ravindra Jadeja bamboozled the former with a bouncer, while Matheesha Pathirana produced a superb yorker to uproot the middle stump of the South African. At 85-5 in 10.5 overs, Heinrich Klaasen and Abdul Samad joined hands but runs were tough to come by as the bowlers executed their plans to perfectly. While Jadeja completed a superb spell of 4-0-22-1, Shardul Thakur kept bowling at wide outside off to frustrate the batters as CSK conceded just two boundaries in nine overs after the powerplay. With an improbable 104 needed off 30 balls, Klaasen, Samad, Pat Cummins and Shahbaz Ahmed all holed out as Mitchell claimed five catches in the outfield during the match. Earlier, Gaikwad missed out on a successive hundred by a whisker but his 107-run stand with Mitchell was the cornerstone of CSK’s innings. It is CSK’s 35th 200-plus total, the most by any side in T20 cricket. Gaikwad was the star of the CSK batting as he hit 10 fours and three sixes in his innings. Opening the innings, Ajinkya Rahane (9) perished early again with Bhuvneshwar Kumar earning his prized wicket in the third over but Gaikwad kept CSK going. The skipper did not back down and attacked the bowlers at will as the hosts ended the powerplay at 50 for one. In no time, the 27-year-old Gaikwad brought up his 17th IPL half-century off just 27 deliveries. Gaikwad and Mitchell batted sensibly as they managed to keep the boundaries coming, with the latter chipping in periodically too after a slow start (12 off 11). With dew setting in the 12th over, the batting duo tried to take advantage of it as Mitchell soon brought up his maiden IPL 50 off 29 deliveries in the 13th over. But the New Zealander failed to get going for too long and perished in the following over to Jaydev Unadkat after depositing a full-toss into the hands of Nitish Kumar Reddy in the deep mid-wicket. In-form Shivam Dube then joined Gaikwad and the two decided to up the ante. SRH skipper Pat Cummins was targeted by the batters, having been dispatched for 49 in his four overs. Gaikwad looked set to back-to-back tons but the heat and humidity of Chennai seemed to affect him as his vigil ended with a tired-looking shot as T Natarajan sent him back in the final over. Crowd-favourite MS Dhoni scored five off two deliveries that included a four, while Dube deposited a full toss in the stands as the final four overs yielded 53 runs. T20 World Cup 2024: David Wiese's Super Over heroics help Namibia start campaign with victory over Oman

T20 World Cup 2024: David Wiese’s Super Over heroics help Namibia start campaign with victory over Oman

Oman’s fightback in the death overs went in vain as David Wiese’s heroic efforts both with bat and ball in the Super Over helped Namibia start their T20 World Cup campaign with a win in low-scoring enthralling match here at the Kensington Oval on Sunday . David Wiese stars for Namibia yet again Wiese emerged as the hero for Namibia with both bat and ball as he slammed 13 in the Super Over and came back to bowl, got a wicket, defending 21 runs. Despite reducing Oman to 109 in 20 overs, Namibia did not have it easy as the game finished in a tie, marking the first Super Over in a men’s T20 World Cup tournament since 2012. Unlock exclusive access to the latest news on India’s general elections, only on the HT App. Download Now! Download Now! Defending 110, Bilal Khan gave Oman the perfect start, bowling opener Michael van Lingen for a duck off the very second ball of the innings. While Nikolaas Davin and Jan Frylinck attempted to play their shots, they were hampered by the inconsistent bounce during the early stages of the pursuit. Namibia was 32/1 at the end of the first powerplay. The skipper, Aqib Ilyas, then used spinners and medium pacers to slow the ball down. Despite a lot of smashes and misses, the duo held on to their wickets, and Namibia finished the powerplay at 32/1. As the runs dried up, Davin attempted to replicate Aqib’s spin. Davin hit Aqib for a six after seven consecutive dot balls. The wily spinner, on the other hand, exacted his revenge by having Davin caught by Mohammad Nadeem on the very next delivery. The disciplined spin from Aqib and Zeeshan Maqsood slowed Namibia’s scoring rate in the middle overs. Namibia captain Gerhard Erasmus, for his part, attempted to keep the scoring rate tight. In the game of nerves, Oman dropped critical catches, but Maqsood eventually held off Ayaan Khan to remove Erasmus for 13 in the 15th over. The set Frylinck took initiative at this stage and hit a flurry of boundaries to bring the asking rate at par with three overs remaining. Mehran Khan’s excellent 18th over yielded just four byes and claimed JJ Smit’s wicket. David Wiese’s six in the nineteenth over helped bring the equation to five off the last over. Mehran, who had only given four runs in two overs, increased his wicket total from one to three in the first three balls of the last over by bowling Frylinck and trapping Zane Green lbw. The equation eventually came down to two versus one, with the aggressive Wiese up against the cunning Mehran. Wiese failed to connect, but the wicketkeeper botched the ball, giving the batsmen a bye. The game ended in a Super Over. After labouring to chase down 5 runs in the penultimate over of a never-ending chase, Namibia came out firing in the Super Over. Seasoned all-rounder Wiese demonstrated his power-hitting ability by hitting a six and four against Bilal Khan, before skipper Gerhard Erasmus smashed two boundaries. Namibia scored 21 runs, the highest total in a Super Over in a men’s T20 World Cup competition. Wiese excelled with the ball after being tasked with bowling the Super Over for Namibia. He took a wicket and gave only 10 runs as Namibia won the Super Over by 11 runs, kicking off their World Cup campaign with a victory. Earlier, Trumpelmann’s pace attack jolted Oman, taking three wickets inside the powerplay and the pacer went on to pick his fourth wicket of the night, returning with a figure of 4-21. Captian Erasmus with his crafty bowling picked two wickets while the seasoned pacer David Wiese bagged three scalps, conceding 28 runs in 3.4 overs. Opted to bowl first, Ruben Trumpelmann drew the first blood as he got into the act with the first ball, trapping Oman opener Kashyap Prajapati for LBW with a superb yorker on his very first delivery. The very next ball, Trumpelmann delivered another magnificent yorker that caught Oman skipper Aqib Ilyas off guard, and the batter went lbw for a duck. The left-arm pacer had a third in his second over when Naseem Khushi attempted to drive him down the track but only found Erasmus at mid-off. Experienced player Zeeshan Maqsod held the innings together during the first powerplay, keeping Oman’s innings steady and increasing the scoring rate to run a ball. However, Bernard Scholtz had him leg before wicket in the seventh over, putting Oman farther behind. The spinner’s disciplined bowling ensured that Oman’s lower order did not take advantage of the change in speed. Scholtz and Erasmus continued to provide breakthroughs for the Eagles, even as Oman batters battled to move the ball past the inner circle. Oman failed to knock a single boundary in 44 deliveries between the 10th and 17th overs. Khalid Kail then led Oman’s change as the batter slammed big shots before falling prey to David Wiese after scoring 34 runs in 39 balls. When Namibia pacers arrived in the death overs, the Asian side attempted to pick up the scoring rate, but David Wiese and Trumpelmann nibbled away at the tail, bowling Oman out before they could complete their quota of overs. Brief score: Oman 109 ; Ruben Trumpelmann 4-21) vs Namibia 109/6 .

Gujarat Titans vs Mumbai Indians, IPLT20, Today Match Prediction

𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐂𝐇 : Gujarat Titans vs Mumbai Indians 𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 : March 29, Saturday𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 : 19:30 PM IST𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐔𝐄 : Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, India 𝐓𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 : Indian Premier League, 2025 Gujarat Titans have dominated Mumbai Indians at the Narendra Modi Stadium, winning all three matches played between them at this venue. Chennai Super Kings vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru TV channels: The fans can watch the match live on Hotstar Live Streaming: Live streaming of the match will be available on the FAFA191 Cricket Exchange India and website. GT vs MI Match Prediction & Analysis Gujarat Titans (GT) and Mumbai Indians (MI) will clash in the ninth match of IPL 2025 in Ahmedabad. Both sides are coming off losses in their first games and will be eager to grab their first points. The previous match at this venue saw over 450 runs being scored in 40 overs, and a similar high-scoring contest is expected. The team that attacks with the bat more aggressively is likely to gain the upper hand on this batting-friendly surface. TEAMS PREVIEW Gujarat Titans Preview Gujarat Titans started their campaign with a tough 11-run loss to Punjab Kings. The Narendra Modi Stadium played host to a run-fest, with Punjab smashing 243-5 after being sent in to bat. Gujarat fought hard in reply but couldn’t get over the line. Sai Sudharsan (74 off 41) and Jos Buttler (54 off 33) were the bright spots with the bat. Shubman Gill also got off to a fast start but couldn’t convert it into a big score. However, his record at this venue is outstanding—he has nearly 1,000 runs in 19 matches at the venue, including three centuries. Gill will be expected to step up in this game. GT’s lower middle order looks unreliable, with Shahrukh Khan, Sai Kishore, and Arshad Khan filling those slots. If Gujarat loses wickets early, they could be in serious trouble. Bowling is another area of concern. Mohammed Siraj struggled in the previous fixture, conceding 54 runs in his four-over spell. Kagiso Rabada is their most reliable pacer, but he can’t do it alone. Rashid Khan also had an off day, going for 48 runs in his four overs. The only standout was Sai Kishore, who picked up three wickets for 30. Gujarat’s bowling needs to step up, or they’ll have a tough time in the tournament. Mumbai Indians Preview Mumbai Indians didn’t have the best start to their IPL 2025 campaign, falling short in their opener against Chennai Super Kings. The low-scoring match at Chepauk saw Mumbai struggle on a sluggish pitch, with Tilak Varma’s 31 being the highest contribution. The final total of 155-9 wasn’t enough, as CSK chased it down without much trouble. Ahmedabad’s conditions, however, should be far more favorable for Mumbai’s batting lineup. With players like Rohit Sharma, Ryan Rickelton, Will Jacks, and Suryakumar Yadav, they’ll be eager to make an impact on a pitch suited for stroke play. Adding to their strength is the return of captain Hardik Pandya, who had to sit out the first game due to an over-rate penalty from the previous season. Having played for Gujarat in 2022 and 2023, Pandya knows this surface inside out and can contribute with both bat and ball. Mumbai’s bowling attack will look to make early inroads with Trent Boult and Deepak Chahar leading the charge. Left-arm spinner Mitchell Santner is expected to control the run flow in the middle overs while also providing wicket-taking opportunities. Meanwhile, young left-arm wrist-spinner Vignesh Puthur, who impressed with 3-32 on debut, could again play a crucial role. Weather Conditions The pitch at the Narendra Modi Stadium will be a flat deck. In the previous game here, we saw batters making merry and hitting through the line with ease. There is hardly any assistance for fast bowlers and both teams will be looking to make as many runs as possible off them. Spinners will find some grip in the middle, but it won’t be much of an issue. The pitch will stay true throughout. The weather in Ahmedabad will be warm and clear with no forecast of rain. GT vs MI Pitch Report In the previous game played at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Punjab Kings amassed 243-5 after batting first and Gujarat Titans scored 232-5 in response – that’s a total of 475 runs in 40 overs! Expect another run-fest at the venue with more than 420 runs on the cards.  Toss: To Bat In the previous game played at the Narendra Modi Stadium, the team batting first registered a comfortable win. Batting first, hence, seems to be to safer option here.

Faf du Plessis's GT blitz praised by Watson: He wanted to do this for RCB all season

Faf du Plessis’s GT blitz praised by Watson: He wanted to do this for RCB all season

Shane Watson praised Faf du Plessis for his whirlwind knock against GT and said that the RCB skipper wanted to play such a knock for his side this season. Du Plessis hit a 23-ball 64 to set the platform for RCB’s win on May 4. The RCB skipper got to his fifty in 18 balls, the second-fastest for the franchise. Du Plessis’ knock helped RCB get the win in the end, despite a small collapse. Speaking to JioCinema, Watson said that it was excellent batting from the RCB skipper and he got the pace and bounce of the wicket very quickly. The former all-rounder said that when Du Plessis is in such a mood, the margin for the bowlers is very low. IPL 2024, RCB vs GT: Match Report | Full Scorecard Watson said that Du Plessis was determined to put the foot down for his side against GT, as evident from his landmark fifty. “Certainly was. Excellent batting. He played these beautiful shots. He got the pace and bounce of the wicket so quickly. And when Faf is in this type of mood, he has access all around the ground. So, the room for error for the bowlers is so small. He has been wanting to do this all season for RCB. He has got off to a start in a couple of innings but hasn’t been able to go through the innings like he did tonight.” IPL 2024 Full Coverage | IPL 2024 Points Table and Standings | 2024 IPL Full Schedule “And now, 18-ball 50 he got. The second fastest for RCB, that showed how Faf put his foot down tonight. His team needed that kick along in the powerplay,” said Du Plessis. How well has Du Plessis performed this season in IPL 2024?Compared to his fantastic 2023 campaign, Du Plessis has had a lacklustre time in IPL 2024. The RCB skipper had scored 730 runs in 14 matches last season and has only 352 to his name this time around. The knock against GT was Du Plessis’ third fifty of the campaign. He is now the second-highest run-getter for RCB this season, behind Virat Kohli. RCB will need to win all their remaining matches to keep their playoff hopes alive. Sri Lanka vs West Indies, SL vs WI 2024, Today Match Prediction

𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐂𝐇 : Sri Lanka vs West Indies𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 : Oct 20, Sunday𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 : 14:30 PM IST𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐔𝐄 : Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Pallekele, Sri Lanka𝐓𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 : 1st ODI 2024 Will West Indies manufacture a way to overcome a formidable Sri Lankan side in their fortress? Sri Lanka vs West Indies TV channels: The fans can watch the match live on Hotstar Live Streaming: Live streaming of the match will be available on the FAFA191 Cricket Exchange India and website. SL vs WI Match Prediction & Analysis Having come back from behind to claim the T20I series, hosts Sri Lanka gear up for their next challenge — taking on a circumspect West Indies side in one of their strongest formats at home. West Indies, however, need to quickly regroup following their series loss. Preparing themselves for the gruelling ODIs ahead is going to take a big mental shift. Having bossed the opening T20, West Indies would be kicking themselves at not being able to carry their momentum from the first T20I into the second and third match. With a dominant win like that, they might have had their sights on rounding off a stellar year with yet another trophy to add to their cabinet. TEAMS PREVIEW Sri Lanka Preview A come-from-behind series victory is always special and Sri Lankan players will feel positive heading into the ODI leg of the tour with a massive confidence boost. Making the transition from T20 to ODI shouldn’t be a problem for the hosts, because the core of the team is still going to be intact. There’s the impressive Pathum Nissanka up top, offering solidity. And partnering him will be Avishka Fernando with Kusal Mendis slotting in at #3 to keep the runs flowing early on in the game. West Indies Preview Having failed the Lankan spin challenge in the last two T20s, West Indies batters are now faced with the difficult prospect of taking on an equally dangerous spin attack on testing pitches in a longer format— and it doesn’t bode well at all for them. Besides, ODI is not a format that West Indies really fancy their chances in. They wouldn’t usually back themselves to win in the ODIs against most sides in the world, like they would in the T20s. Worse yet, with just 3 wins in 17 ODI matches in this part of the world, West Indies have always found Sri Lanka a tough place to visit. Weather Conditions This track has been predominantly good for batting, with the average score in the past 4 years ranging between 260 to 310. Batsmen, if they set up a platform seeing off the early spell from swing bowlers, can keep the scoreboard ticking over nicely. The wicket generally remains true to its character for most part of the match, however, at instances, has slowed down bringing spinners into play. Weather-wise, it’s looking good and the forecast for the game doesn’t stoke any concerns. SL vs WI Pitch Report A change in format and a change in venue too. Pallekele International Cricket Stadium will be hosting all the three ODIs of this series. The hosts have a successful track record of taking on their opposition here, with 9 wins from 12 matches in the past four years. Toss: To Bat Although the outcome of the toss doesn’t influence the result here, teams chasing have done well in day night fixtures, winning 9 out of 14 games, in which a game was abandoned and didn’t produce a result. Although Sri Lanka, of late, has had a tendency to bat first and put runs on the board, it would be interesting to see what they decide to do in this case.

IPL 2024: Must-win game for Chennai Super Kings against Punjab Kings | Cricket News

Pacers Pathirana, Deshpande back as Ruturaj’s boys eye revenge against PBKSChennai Super Kings have been far from comfortable playing away from home this season. The reigning champions have won just one of their four matches on the road so far and were outplayed by the opposition in each of the three losses. With time not on their side and the team playing catch-up in the intense playoff race, Ruturaj Gaikwad-led CSK will have to improve their away record, starting with the clash against Punjab Kings in Dharamshala on Sunday.IPL ORANGE CAP | IPL PURPLE CAP | IPL POINTS TABLESuper Kings (10 points from 10 matches) find themselves in must-win territory as they are two points behind Sunrisers Hyderabad (12 points from 10 matches), who occupy the fourth and final knockout spot.A slip-up against Punjab – four days after going down to the same opposition in Chennai – could mean that top-four qualification may no longer be in their hands.Moving into the most crucial phase of the league stage, Ruturaj’s form is a huge positive for CSK. The right-handed opener is on a dream run with five 50-plus scores in his last six outings. While Ruturaj is in glorious touch, he can still improve in certain areas – maintaining consistency away from home, making full use of the Powerplay at a time when his opening partner Ajinkya Rahane is struggling for runs. The fact that the pitches at the HPCA Stadium provide good assistance to the batters should please Ruturaj and Co. After being dominated by spinners Harpreet Brar and Rahul Chahar, the middle-order batters, especially Shivam Dube, will be eager to exact revenge.CSK are set to be bolstered by the availability of pacers Matheesha Pathirana and Tushar Deshpande, but will be without the services of Deepak Chahar. While Pathirana and Deshpande missed the last game with a niggle and flu respectively, Deepak limped off the field with a groin injury. “Deepak has pulled up with a problem in his leg and is not with us. The Sri Lankan boys (Pathirana and Maheesh Theekshana) had to go to get their visas sorted. They did not train on Saturday. Once we see how the conditions are and the balance of the team, we will know (if they play). Tushar seems fine right now,” said CSK bowling consultant Eric Simons.Punjab, who are on a two-match winning streak, will look to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. The change of home venue from Mullanpur to Dharamshala could come as a welcome boost as the free-stroking PBKS batters may be better-suited to the HPCA Stadium pitch.
