Mohammad Amir has taken 325 T20 wickets across his career and the left-arm pace bowler is our pick for Pakistan’s top wicket taker on SaturdayMark Chapman has hit one hundred and seven half-centuries in T20Is and the left-hander is our tip for New Zealand’s highest run scorer in this match. Ben Sears has a T20I strike-rate of 15.3 and the 26 year old pace bowler is a strong choice for New Zealand’s top wicket taker against Pakistan. After finishing the recent Pakistan Super League as the leading run scorer, we recommend choosing Babar Azam to hit the most fours in this fixture. Pakistan vs New Zealand 2nd T20 Match Prediction & Betting Tips After the opening T20I of the series was reduced to a five over aside match but then lasted only two balls on Thursday, Pakistan and New Zealand reconvene again in Rawalpindi for the second of five matches on Saturday evening. Read on as we preview this T20I. The match gets underway at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium at 19:30 local time on April 20th. Although the opening game of the series lasted only two balls, there was still a wicket for Pakistan and their former skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi. We expect the bowling unit of the hosts to be too strong for New Zealand’s batters and Pakistan should have the ability to win this match. With the series still at 0-0, New Zealand will fancy their chances of getting the most out of their squad in this match and taking a 1-0 lead. However, taking on Pakistan in Rawalpindi is never easy and this group of New Zealand players will need to be at their best if they are to get a positive result. Pakistan vs New Zealand Match Toss PredictionNew Zealand won the toss on Thursday and chose to bat first but that was due to the game being reduced to five overs aside. We predict that the captains will want to field first ahead of this T20I. Pakistan vs New Zealand Pitch ReportWe were not able to learn too much about the surface at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in the opening game of the series but our view remains that overall this is a good batting surface. Rawalpindi Weather ReportThere is only a very small chance of rain on Saturday evening in Rawalpindi so any interruptions will be very short. It will be humid throughout with the temperature never lower than 20 degrees. Read on for team previews, betting tips, latest odds, and match prediction for Pakistan vs New Zealand 2nd T20 2024

Mukesh Kumar took 3/14 in the last match and he is a strong choice for Delhi Capitals’ top wicket taker on Saturday.Travis Head struck 102 runs from 41 balls against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the last game and the Australian opener is our pick for Sunrisers Hyderabad’s highest run scorer in this game. Pat Cummins has nine wickets in the tournament so far and we are backing him to be Sunrisers Hyderabad’s top wicket taker against Delhi Capitals. After hitting seven more sixes in Match 30 to take his season’s tally to 24, we recommend selecting Heinrich Klaasen to hit the most sixes in this clash. Delhi Capitals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad T20 Match Prediction & Betting Tips, IPL 2024 Delhi Capitals go head to head with Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday evening in Match 35 of the 2024 Indian Premier League. The Capitals had a poor start to the tournament but thrashed Gujarat Titans in their last match. Sunrisers are in fourth place with four wins from six. Read on as we preview this clash which gets underway at 19:30 local time at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi on April 20th. Coming into this game after back to back wins, Delhi Capitals will be confident of making it three in a row and there is a youthful freshness to the side. However, they will be up against one of the best batting line-ups in the tournament in this game and it will be a very tough contest. Sunrisers Hyderabad have assembled a side full of aggressive batters and due to the impact player option, they are able to pack their line-up with big hitters. Although they have lost two matches so far, they will travel to Delhi full of confidence after posting a record-breaking 287/3 in their last game. Delhi Capitals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Match Toss PredictionOf the 84 IPL matches to have taken place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, 46 have been won by the team fielding first. Therefore, our prediction is that both sides will choose to bowl first if they win the toss ahead of this game. Delhi Capitals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Pitch ReportThis is the first game at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in the 2024 IPL so there will be a little bit of unknown about exactly how the pitch will play. However, we can expect to see a pitch with plenty of pace and carry which should encourage the stroke-makers in both batting line-ups. Bowlers will look to make the most of the early overs when the ball is likely to swing but a par score is expected to be 200+. Delhi Weather ReportIt will be partly cloudy throughout this game on Saturday evening with the temperature above 29 degrees from start to finish. Humidity will be no higher than 30% across the match. Ashutosh Sharma was unbelievable, our nerves were tested: MI skipper Hardik

Mumbai Indians’ captain Hardik Pandya and Punjab Kings’ stand-in captain Sam Curran during the toss ceremony before an Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 cricket match between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, in Mohali, on April 18, 2024. | Photo Credit: PTI Punjab Kings’ cricketer Ashutosh Sharma’s exploits with the willow drew enormous praise from Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya as well as his team’s stand-in captain Sam Curran, with the former terming it an “unbelievable” display. Ashutosh and Shashank Singh have emerged as the unlikely heroes for Punjab Kings this IPL season but the failure of the top-order has seen the team slump to ninth spot in the IPL table despite the some breathtaking performances from the duo. On Thursday, Ashutosh virtually took the game away from Mumbai Indians with his 28-ball 61 before PBKS lost by nine runs chasing 193. Ashutosh also executed a stunning sweep shot against pacer Jasprit Bumrah, something which has not been done quite often against India’s pace spearhead. “Unbelievable, playing the way he (Ashutosh) did and hitting the ball off the middle. (It is) great for his future. We did speak in the timeout about it, not about how we look, we will keep fighting and make sure (that) we don’t bowl the soft balls. Batsmen played good shots but we were soft in certain overs,” Mr.Pandya said at the post-match presentation ceremony. The MI skipper heaved a huge sigh of relief with a close win, stating that every player’s nerves got tested in the game. “(It was a) very good game. Everyone’s nerves got tested. We spoke that the characters will be checked in this game. But (it is) natural (that) you (would) think you are ahead but IPL has a tendency to show that oppositions can come back and how,” Pandya added. Punjab Kings’ stand-in captain Sam Curran said it was heartening to see youngsters like Ashutosh and Shashank rising to the occasion, despite losing some close matches in the recent past. “Another close one, I think this team likes a close one, but unfortunately another loss. Another incredible knock from the young guy (Ashutosh), but another close loss,” he said. “It’s very tough. We have lost a lot of wickets at the start, the way the younger guys have taken the team so close is heartening.” “They have incredible confidence, you see a guy like Ashutosh having the confidence to play the sweeps and the big hits against pacers, it’s so great to watch them in action,” Curran said. The Englishman said there were a lot of positives to take from such close defeats. “It’s disheartening to lose close games, but there are a lot of positives in this team. We still have the belief in us, we believe we can turn this around, the sun will come up tomorrow and we will hopefully get on a winning run,” Curran said. The player of the match Jasprit Bumrah, who bowled a brilliant spell of 3/21 said it was a much closer game than he anticipated. “(It was a) much closer game than what we thought. (I) want to make an impact early on. In this format, ball swings for two overs, and you want to make use of that,” he said. Bumrah said the T20 format is cruel for bowlers and is tilted in favour of batters. “This format is a little difficult for the bowlers because the batsmanship is going over, plus the time restrictions and the Impact Player rule. What you can do is prepare your best and back yourself,” he said. “Go out there and give your best. I try to relay messages from wherever I am on the field. You don’t want to give too many messages,” Bumrah added.

Get to Know Who will win Lucknow Super Giants vs Chennai Super Kings, IPL 2024 Match and toss Prediction with Head to Head stats, Playing 11, CBTFJSK Tips, Live score, Win Probability & winning percentage. 𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐂𝐇 : Lucknow Super Giants vs Chennai Super Kings 𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 : Apr 19, 2024𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 : 19:30 IST / 14:00 GMT𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐔𝐄 : Ekana Cricket Stadium – Lucknow, India𝐓𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 : IPL 2024 Lucknow Super Giants vs Chennai Super Kings Betting Tips KL Rahul is a big game player and even though he has not been in great form, can be backed to top score for LSG. One of the reasons why we are backing Rahul is that he can be very handy against CSK spinners in the middle overs and play through the innings. Shamar Joseph had a bad debut against DC and will be eyeing a strong return. He has pace and variations to trouble CSK so he is our pick for top bowler. For CSK, Shivam Dube has been on a six hitting spree. He has already hit 15 sixes this season. Back him to hit more than 1.5 sixes in the match. Matheesha Pathirana is fresh from a four wicket haul against MI. Pathirana is a good pick for CSK top bowler. The wicket in Lucknow has been slow and scoring boundaries has been tough. The total fours in the match should be less than 30.5 while total sixes should be over 12.5. Lucknow Super Giants vs Chennai Super Kings TV channels: The fans can watch the match live on Hotstar Live Streaming: Live streaming of the match will be available on the FAFA191 Cricket Exchange India and website. Lucknow Super Giants vs Chennai Super Kings T20 Match Prediction & Betting Tips, IPL 2024 Lucknow Super Giants will take on Chennai Super Kings in the 34th match of the IPL 2024. The game will be played at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow and will start at 7:30 PM IST on April 19. Lucknow Super Giants have lost the previous two games which makes the coming game against CSK very important. LSG haven’t been at their best so far. While teams have managed to score 200+ score consistently this season, LSG have mostly scored around the 160 run mark. Not sure that would be enough against CSK.  The concern for LSG has been their batting as barring Nicholas Pooran, others have been ordinary, including KL Rahul. The bowlers though have done well. Meanwhile, CSK picked up a thrilling win over MI at the Wankhede Stadium. The team is placed third on the points table with four wins and two defeats. Ruturaj Gaikwad’s return to  form is a great news for the team while Shivam Dube has been mighty consistent. MS Dhoni has also turned back the clock and struck lusty blows in final overs. However, lack of runs from Rachin Ravindra is a concern. The bowling from CSK has been top notch and the conditions in Lucknow will suit the visitors.      Lucknow Super Giants vs Chennai Super Kings Match Toss PredictionEkana Stadium is not a very easy ground to chase and most captains have preferred to bat here and post a score of around 170-180. Lucknow Super Giants vs Chennai Super Kings Pitch ReportThe pitch at the Ekana Stadium is slightly on the slower side. The ball does not come on nicely and batters often struggle for timing. A score of around 170-180 is slightly above par here. Lucknow Weather ReportThe temperature will range between 41 and 26 degrees. The humidity will be 27 per cent and the wind speed will be 27 kmph. MS Dhoni mania takes over South Africa: Dale Steyn wants CSK star to keep playing IPL

Former South Africa pace bowler Dale Steyn suggests that the fervor surrounding MS Dhoni extends beyond the Indian Premier League (IPL), surpassing the cricketing landscape of South Africa and captivating enthusiasts like himself. Steyn is in awe of Dhoni’s batting and said that watching the former CSK captain out in the field lifts his mood. Notably, Dhoni continues to be a crowd-favorite in the Indian Premier League, and at 42, he is still turning back the clock to demonstrate his six-hitting skills. Dhoni’s job has altered this season because he is no longer captain, but on the pitch, he remains the one who controls the game for the Super Kings. The legendary skipper has decided to bat lower down the order to give young players an opportunity as the franchise enters a transitional period. Despite this, Dhoni has still managed to make an impression with the bat this season. However, the speculations are rife that the ongoing season will be Dhoni’s last in the IPL as he also handed over the captaincy charge to Ruturaj Gaikwad this year. Steyn also said that he wants MS Dhoni to continue playing the Indian Premier League. IPL 2024 Full Coverage | IPL 2024 Points Table and Standings | 2024 IPL Full Schedule “Not only has it engulfed the IPL. That’s engulfed many South Africa and myself, to be honest with you, I don’t watch a lot of TV, but I seem to be glued to the seat when the IPL is on my girlfriend says that my TV is broken, it’s stuck on cricket right now IPL and watching MS the other night. That’s exactly what we want to do. You know, I’ve been on the receiving end of it before. I’ve watched it from a fan’s point of view, I loved it. I mean, I am a much better mood because of what I’ve just seen. So can we get more of MS Dhoni out in the middle? That would be great,” Dale Steyn said while speaking on Star Sports ahead of the MI vs PBKS match. Dhoni’s biggest issue this year has been his struggle with a knee ailment. The renowned wicketkeeper-batsman has been observed limping on multiple occasions this season, and he also had knee surgery following last season’s IPL. Recently, CSK bowling consultant Eric Simmons confessed Dhoni has been fighting with his knee ailment, but he has battled it heroically and without displaying any pain. Joshua Kimmich Heads Bayern Munich Past Arsenal Into Champions League Semi-Finals

Joshua Kimmich Heads Bayern Munich Past Arsenal Into Champions League Semi-Finals

A 63rd-minute Joshua Kimmich header gave Bayern Munich a 1-0 win over Arsenal and a place in the Champions League semi-finals on Wednesday. The 3-2 aggregate quarter-final victory means Bayern return to the last-four for the first time since winning the title in 2020. Bayern will face Real Madrid for a place in the final after the 14-time champions overcame holder Manchester City on penalties. The result continues a poor week for Arsenal, who conceded top spot in the Premier League table on Sunday with their first league loss of 2024. “We can enjoy this one. The first half was cagey and then we upped the tempo,” Bayern striker Harry Kane told TNT. “These games are tough and we had to find our way through them. “It’s going to be a tough semi final whoever we play.” Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta said his side had “wanted it so badly”. “However, you can see with many other clubs that sometimes it takes six or seven years to get to that stage.  We were very close, that is the reality.” Unlike last week’s four-goal spectacle in London, Wednesday’s match was a cagey affair, with few clear chances for either side in a testy opening half. Midway through the second-half and with extra-time on the horizon, Kimmich burst through the Arsenal box and headed in a perfect Raphael Guerreiro chip. Guerreiro, pushed from wing-back to the forwards due to Bayern’s injury woes, impressed as a creative presence when freed up from his usual defensive duties. Six-time Champions League winners Bayern join fellow Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, who face Paris Saint-Germain, in the semi-finals. Hit by injuries to several first-team attackers including former Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry — who scored along with Kane in the first leg — and Kingsley Coman, Tuchel pushed Guerreiro into an unfamiliar advanced role. The move worked early, with the Portuguese finding space down the left flank and linking well with Jamal Musiala in the centre. Arteta opted for the defensive stability of Takehiro Tomiyasu in place of Jakub Kiwior at left-back to neutralise Leroy Sane but the Japanese, who was making his first start since December, notably lacked rythym. Tomiyasu completely misjudged a Musiala pass early, allowing Sane to stroll through the Arsenal box and force a corner. Gabriel Martinelli was the visitors’ most dangerous player in the opening half. He scuffed a curling ball just wide of the post after seven minutes and then shot directly at Manuel Neuer with the goal beckoning on the half-hour mark. Bayern were the better team after the break and went close immediately, Leon Goretzka heading a clever Kimmich cross onto the woodwork. The pressure began to tell and Bayern broke through after 63 minutes when Kimmich, among the shortest players on the pitch, was allowed to slip through a crowded Arsenal box and head in a Guerreiro chip. The hosts almost doubled the tally moments after when Kane found an unmarked Sane in the box, but the Germany winger blasted his shot skywards. Arsenal pushed for an equaliser and went close in stoppage time when Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka lashed at a bouncing ball in the box but could not break through, ending the visitors’ hopes of a return to the Champions League semis for the first time since 2009. IPL 2024 Points Table, Orange Cap, Purple Cap: Delhi Capitals Gain Big With Win Over Gujarat Titans

IPL 2024 Points Table, Orange Cap, Purple Cap: Delhi Capitals Gain Big With Win Over Gujarat Titans

Sharp glovework by skipper Rishabh Pant and some inspired bowling set up a crushing six-wicket win for Delhi Capitals after Gujarat Titans fell to their IPL lowest of 89 on Wednesday. Medium-pace bowler Mukesh Kumar stood out with figures of 3-14 to help bundle out Gujarat in 17.3 overs and Delhi raced to their target in 8.5 overs in Ahmedabad. Delhi, who were without injured David Warner, registered just their third win of this season to jump three places to sixth in the 10-team table. Meanwhile, GT, Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians lost a place each to slip to the seventh, eighth and ninth spots, respectively. Rest of the points table remained unchanged with Rajasthan Royals holding the top spot. Here is the updated IPL 2024 points table: Virat Kohli led the run-scorers’ chart with 361 runs from 7 matches, while Yuzvendra Chahal was on top of wicket-takers’ list with 12 scalps from 7 games. Talking about the Gt vs DC game, Pant, who returned to this year’s IPL after surviving a horror car crash, stood unbeaten on 16 after Australian batter Jake Fraser-McGurk made a brisk 20. The 26-year-old Pant, a left-hand batsman, has scored 210 runs, including two half-centuries, in a boost to his chances of a return to the T20 World Cup in June. India fast bowler Ishant Sharma dismissed captain Shubman Gill for eight in the second over of the match and Gujarat kept losing wickets to some disciplined bowling. The fielding remained impressive after Sumit Kumar sent back Sai Sudarshan for 12 with a direct throw at the non-striker’s end. Pant was nimble behind the stumps and started with a diving catch to dismiss David Miller off Ishant. The wicketkeeper affected two stumpings when his quick work sent back Abhinav Manohar, for eight, and Shahrukh Khan, for a duck in th espace of three balls off South African spinner Tristan Stubbs. Gujarat slipped to 66-7, but Rashid Khan resisted from one end with his gritty 31 off 24 balls before he fell caught behind with Pant taking a regulation catch behind the stumps. Gujarat’s total is the lowest this season in a contrast to some big scores including two record highs of 277 and then 287 by Sunrisers Hyderabad. (With AFP Inputs) Topics mentioned in this article

‘Bholi si surat’: Rohit Sharma laughs at 20-year-old self for ‘struggling’ to get a beard. Watch | Cricket News

NEW DELHI: Former Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma engaged in a humorous conversation with teammate Romario Shepherd in the MI’s dressing room, where images of the 2007 T20 World Cup final adorned the walls. That was the time when Indian captain Rohit burst onto the international arena. Upon seeing the images, the West Indian all-rounder Shepherd joyfully teased him by saying “Young Ro”.“Small Boy, No Beard. I was struggling to get beard,” Rohit replied.“How old were you there?” Romario asked. “I was twenty”, Rohit answered. In six matches this IPL season so far, Rohit has scored 261 runs at an average of 52.20 and a strike rate of over 167, with a century.Rohit was at his vintage best in the match against CSK, scoring 105* in 63 balls but MI fell short by 20 runs. His knock was studded with 11 boundaries and five sixes.Amid the fall of wickets around him, the former skipper held the fort at one end, blazing away at a strike rate of 166.67. He also became the first Indian to smash 500 sixes in T20 cricket during the match.IPL: Points Table | Orange Cap | Purple CapRohit recently expressed his intention to “extend his career for a few more years,” driven by a strong desire to clinch the 2027 ODI World Cup.Reflecting on the disappointment of the 2023 edition, where victory eluded him due to “just one bad day,” he is determined to seize the trophy in the upcoming tournament.“I haven’t really thought about retirement. But, I don’t know where life takes you. I am playing well at the moment and I am thinking of continuing for a few more years. I really want to win that World Cup,” he said in a YouTube chat show ‘Breakfast With Champions’ that was also attended by British pop singer Ed Sheeran.
