England have already won the series and will be looking to make it 4-0.

  • Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell are our picks for the batters to watch out for from West Indies.
  • Liam Livingstone has played an important part in this series with both the bat and ball. His overs of spin will be crucial in this game too.
  • A score of around 160 will be a challenging one at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium.

West Indies and England will lock horns in the fourth T20I at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium this Saturday. England have taken an unassailable lead of 3-0 in the 5-match T20I series, and will be looking to make it 4-0 after the next match. West Indies, meanwhile, have been poor throughout the series and will be looking forward to putting up a better show in the remaining two matches.

West Indies Preview

West Indies have been below par all through this T20I series. In the third match, West Indies were reduced to 37/5 within the powerplay. However, thanks to captain Rovman Powell’s 54 off 41 and Romario Shepherd (30 off 28), they managed to put up a respectable total of 145-8 on the board. However, that wasn’t enough as England reached home with four balls to spare and three wickets remaining.

England Preview

In their small chase of 146 in the third T20I, England were reduced to 37/3. Then, Sam Curran (41 off 26) and Liam Livingstone (39 off 28) played important knocks that helped their team get over the line.

Different batters have stepped up at important times for England this series. Philip Salt scored that hundred in the first game. Jos Buttler smashed an unbeaten 83 off 45 in the second T20I. Liam Livingstone has had two good knocks, and even newbie Jacob Bethell has scored a fifty.

Weather Conditions

The pitch at Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium tends to offer good support for both batters and bowlers in white-ball games. However, with recent heavy rains in St. Lucia, there’s some moisture on the surface, as seen in the last match here. This added dampness means spinners and pacers can expect a bit more grip, and they’ll probably use slower balls and cutters to disrupt the batters’ timing.

The weather will be humid and cloudy. There is very little chance of rain, so we should get a full match.

WI vs ENG Pitch Report

The average first innings score at Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium is 168. However, the surface will be slower this time, and the team batting first will be looking to set a score of around 160 runs.

Toss: To Bowl

Jos Buttler’s decision to field first has paid off in every game of this T20I series, with England winning each match. Chances are high that both captains will be looking to bowl first once again in this upcoming game.
