RSA vs PAK Match Prediction & Analysis
All of the eyes of the cricketing world were on the Boxing Day Test in Centurion which served up a real Christmas cracker! The match went into the second session of day four with two results still possible and it was South Africa’s lower order batters who were able to hold their nerves and get over the line.
That victory means that South Africa are the first team to book their place in the WTC Final at Lord’s in June with the only question mark over who they will be facing in six months time.

South Africa Preview
On a low-scoring pitch, batting fourth can be particularly tough both from a technical and mental perspective, but South Africa showed plenty of bottle and ability to chase down their target of 148 in Centurion and sneak over the line with two wickets remaining!
Aiden Markram was the standout batter across both sides, hitting 89 of South Africa’s 301 in the first innings before making 37 in their ultimately successful 150/8. The right-handed opener has long been seen as a player failing to reach his potential but he will come into this Test full of confidence after those efforts.
Pakistan Preview
Any preview of a Pakistan game could not fail to mention how they are the most predictably unpredictable side in international cricket and a brief glance at their recent results confirms this.
After being thrashed by England in their opening Test in October, they responded with wins by 152 runs and by nine wickets, but the Boxing Day defeat in Centurion will be tough to recover from after getting so close to recording their third victory in a row.

Cape Town in January can be beautiful and the weather forecast is for more of the same across the five days of this Test. No rain is expected and the temperature will get into the mid-twenties with clear skies but high humidity on all five days.
