Billionaire Harsh Geonka celebrated as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) finally lifted the IPL 2025 trophy after a wait of 18 years. Goenka praised the team, especially ace cricketer Virat Kohli, for the “truly deserving” victory.

“After 18 seasons of waiting, RCB finally wins the IPL! Virat is all smiles. And Bangalore is partying like never before. Well played, RCB- you truly deserved this!,” he wrote.

Moments before RCB won the IPL 2025 final against Punjab Kings, Virat Kohli cried. During the last over, as it became clear that the target had slipped away from their opponents, the cricketer who had been part of the team for 18 years could not hold back and started crying.
The moment quickly went viral, as fans shared emotional posts praising the former RCB captain’s efforts to win the trophy for his team.
“This win is much for the fans as it is for the team. It’s been 18 It’s years. I’ve given this team my youth, prime and experience. I’ve tried to do it every season, gave it everything I have. To finally have it is an unbelievable feeling. Never thought this day would come, I was overcome with emotion after the last ball was bowled. Gave each and every ounce of my energy and it’s an amazing feeling,” he said.

Celebrations began across India as RCB lifted their maiden trophy at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Fireworks filled the night skies across cities as fans flooded the streets, cheering for their team and Virat Kohli, flooded the streets.
Across the country, in cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata, RCB supporters chanted “ee sala cup namdu” and “Kohli, Kohli” — this time, not with hope, but with triumph. Videos showed fans breaking into tears of joy and celebrating on the streets.
