Two iconic pieces of cricket memorabilia have been showcased at The Oval’s museum. Surrey Cricket Club, who play their home matches at the venue in London, shared photos on Instagram.In the Instagram post, Surrey Cricket wrote, Explore the storied history of the Kia Oval in its 180th anniversary year. SUBSCRIBE NOW!The first piece of collector’s item is Virat Kohli’s gloves from when India played England in an ODI in July 2022. On the right glove is a signature by the legendary India batter alongside the date. On the left glove it’s written, “To the Oval Museum, Best Wishes.”The second piece of “must-see” at the museum is a signed Sachin Tendulkar jersey. Underneath it says, “Sachin Tendulkar, Indian Test captain, 200 Test matches, 15,921 runs, 51 centuries.”Kohli was slated to get an experience of playing at The Oval in the English County in 2018 but was ruled out with a neck injury.“Kohli, who was scheduled to play for Surrey CCC in the month of June, has been ruled out from participating. This decision was taken following assessments by the BCCI Medical team, subsequent scans, and a specialist visit,” a BCCI press release had said at the time.The County stint was considered to be a step for the right-hander to prepare for the series in England in 2018. Eventually, Kohli-led India were thrashed 4-1 in the five match series.Tendulkar, meanwhile, played nine matches at The Oval during his cricket days. In the four Test and five ODIs that he played at the ground, he scored 481 runs at an average of 43.72.
