The seventh game of IPL 2025 will see Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Hyderabad. The Sunrisers have started their campaign with a bang and are looking like one of the most dangerous sides in the tournament. The injury-riddled Lucknow, meanwhile, lost an agonizingly close game to Delhi Capitals the other night and will be ruing their missed opportunities.

Sunrisers Hyderabad Preview

Sunrisers Hyderabad began their IPL 2025 campaign with a comprehensive 44-run win over Rajasthan Royals at Hyderabad. On a flat road of a wicket, SRH blasted 286-6 in their 20 overs – the second-highest IPL team total ever – courtesy of spectacular performances by  Ishan Kishan (106* off 47) and Travis Head (67 off 31).

This will be the template for this power-packed SRH side throughout this season – they will blow away their opponents with a relentless assault and massive scores. And they have the tools to pull this off as well with the dangerous Abhishek Sharma and Head at the top, followed by the equally destructive Ishan Kishan and Heinrich Klaasen in the middle. To top it off, they also have Nitish Reddy to balance things out in case of a collapse.

Lucknow Super Giants Preview

Lucknow Super Giants suffered a heartbreaking loss in their opening IPL 2025 encounter to Delhi Capitals. Batting first at Visakhapatnam, they put on a healthy 209-8 with sparkling fifties from Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran. They had Delhi reeling at 65-5 at one stage and were looking all set for victory before Ashutosh Sharma stole the game away from them to clinch a 1-wicket victory for the Capitals.

Lucknow would be ruing their missed chances in the game. They were 161-2 at one stage from 13.3 overs but a batting collapse meant they ended up much below what they could have achieved. The likes of Rishabh Pant, Ayush Badoni, and David Miller will need to step up in this game.

Weather Conditions

The pitch at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium will be a flat deck. It’s a bowler’s graveyard with virtually no movement or grip on offer. The ball will come at a nice height and pace for the batters to just smash through the line. Plus, the short boundaries here will mean plenty of fours and sixes throughout.

The weather in Hyderabad will be warm and humid, but there is no forecast of rain, so we will get a full game.

SRH vs LSG Pitch Report

In the first IPL 2025 match played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium Sunrisers Hyderabad blasted 286-6 after batting first against Rajasthan Royals, who themselves scored 242-6 in the chase. This shows this will be another high-scoring game. If SRH bat first here, they will be targeting another 250+ score – even 300 is on the cards with their batting! If Lucknow bat first, they will be eyeing a score of around 2220-230 here.

Toss: To Bat

Win the toss and bat first should be the way to go in the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. As we saw in the first match here, it is a great batting track and teams batting first can post huge scores to kill the game there itself.
