Hampshire Women continue their dominant run in the season with yet another top notch performance against Durham Women in their last match. Bowling first Hampshire Women restricted Durham Women to 190/8 in 50 overs. Lauren Bell once again bowled an excellent spell with the new ball setting the tone with figures of 2/38, Linsey Smith after missing the last game made an impact on her comeback with figures of 2/25 in 10 overs bowling 2 maidens. Charli Knott was mighty effective in the middle overs (2/38). 

The Hampshire Women chased down the target in 36.5 overs losing 3 wickets and scoring 193 runs. Maia Bouchier (53 runs) scored her 3rd fifty of the season. Charli Knott scored 58 runs in 66 balls the duo added 93 runs for the 2nd wicket and made sure Hampshire chased it down comfortably.

Essex Women Preview

Essex Women after pulling of a tough win over Lancashire Women by five wickets to register their first win of the season  after three consecutive losses are back to losing ways and in their recent match against The Blaze Women, Essex Women lost by 5 wickets. 

Batting first Essex Women scored 231/9 on a slightly two paced surface with the help of a magnificent hundred from their captain Grace Scrivens who scored 120 runs in 134 balls and she was well supported by wicketkeeper batter Amara Carr from the other end who scored 34 runs. While rest of the batting lineup collapsed. Only four batters scored in double digits which. 

Then defending the Total Essex Women were compleelty outclassed as The Blaze Women chased down the target in 41 overs. Beth McGregor with figures of 3/42 was the stand out bowler. Essex’s main issue this season has been their batting where only Scrivens, Carr and Jodie Grewcock have done bulk of the scoring. Infact Essex has only crossed the 225 runs mark twice this season.
