Quetta Gladiators registered an impressive 30-run win against Islamabad United in the Qualifier game.

In the batting department, the team management will be depending on the likes of young batter Hasan Nawaz, who is franchises’ highest run-getter in the competition with 323 runs in 11 matches. Nawaz is well-supported by Rilee Rossouw, who scored 250 runs in ten matches at an average of 35.71.

Besides Nawaz and Rossouw, captain Saud Shakeel has done a decent job for Quetta this season and scored 233 runs in 11 matches with one half-century to his name.

In Qualifier 1 game, Dinesh Chandimal was the standout player with the bat and finished the innings with the top-score of 48 runs off 28 balls with the help of four fours and three sixes. He was well supported by all-rounder Faheem Ashraf, who played well and scored a brisk 45 runs off just 23 balls with the help of four boundaries and three sixes.

Middle-order batsman Kusal Perera made a splendid contribution with the bat in the knockout game played against Islamabad United and will be looking to do more of the same in all-important final. Perera scored 61 off 35 balls with the help of seven fours and two sixes, whereas opener Mohammad Naeem scored a half-century off 25 balls with the help of seven boundaries and two sixes.
